I live in Charlotte, NC and am a 7th generation Mecklenburg County native through my great grandmother's Sloan family. My Mayes roots are from Ireland to PA then from the 1760's in Union Co. SC. Research surname interest on my paternal side are Mayes, Sloan, Johnston, Benfield, Black, Mcdowell, McElwain, Storey and on my maternal side are Wilson, Hawks, McBride, Bolick (Bolch), Chester, Kerley, Cline and Killian. I enjoy family history research and have a public family tree on Ancestry.com.|

The gentleman who wrote me could not tell me what was maiden name.. Wilson could be .. or Campbell.. or did she marry a Campbell first.. no verification to name.. so I leve it to you since it is your family..
I am still looking for a John Wilson in PA that died before 1813, leaving something to either Nicolas Iler or his wife who was probably a Wilson..
Oh well .. someday I shall stumble across the info... I hope..
|Lynnease Armstrong||RE: Cora Vanderford|
Michael. I received this email from Judy Lewis Honeycutt interested in Cora's sister Sally. Can you help her out? Thanks for your time.
I noticed you had a message regarding an Aunt Cora Vanderford. I'm looking for information of Cora's sister , Sally who died July 31 1903 possibly married to a David Brown Honeycutt. I don't know anything about Sally other than it seems she may have died in childbirth to her son Olin May, Just wondering if you could pass on my desire to connect with Aunt Cora's contact. This is the first little bit of info the family has had on the birth mother of Olin May raised by his father David Brown and wife, Bessie. We didn't have a name until I run across it on FINDAGRAVE.COM
Any information you share would most appreciated. Thanks in advance

Baker Cemetery was relocated to Centre Presbyterian Church's cemetery in 1961 when Lake Norman was being created (it's in the southwest corner). The address is 129 Centre Church Rd, Mooresville, NC. It's on the east side of I-77 at exit 33.

|Bob Law||RE: Mary Steele Alexander|
Michael: The husband of Mary Alexander was John or James Steele. I found his will in New Casstel Delaware in 1751 listing their children: Mary Steele, John Steele, Moses Steele, Alexander Steele, William Steele, Aaron Steele, Isaac Steele and James Steele. In his will he listed his daughter Mary as the wife of James Alecander. I haven't been able to locate the marriage date ofr James or John and Mary or the dates of birth for any of the children.
