|Bud||The Caldwell child|
I transferred him to you so you can take any info you want and then delete it. I was helping my wife's cousin with some tree stuff. He is a Caldwell.

I could not find Silman Family Cemetery in my books. I have about 15 cemetery books for Kanawha County, but each one has an index and I could not find the Silman cemetery listed. Give me a name and I will see if I can find him/her in the name indexes. If you have been around awhile you will know that samll cemeteries change names as people grow old and out.

|Bud||RE: Brick Cemetery.|
Wife is from west side of Charleston. She and two cousins on her dad's side come from the Perry Lane area. One cousin now in Dunbar and his brother lives in Fla.
Now, that said, it is the brother in Fla. that I have been doing the searching for.
We live in Ga., so I have been doing internet searches. Hope to ge up there this spring and do some photos. Now, if you would like for me to transfer any of the one's I have put on please do not hesitate to ask.
Happy Researching, Bud.

You did a fine job putting it on. I have the book "Kanawha Valley Cemeteries" VOL. 1. and it is listed in it. I just found out about the "Rywants" this Thanksgiving, and started researching them for a relativeof my wife.
The book lists the cemetery as: Located on hill off Briar Rd. behind Kroger Store at Cross Lanes. Easy approach is through Shamrock Village.
There was only three other names that you did not have on, and I put them in there.
Happy Researching, Bud
PS We lived on West Washington St. up near Perry Ln in the 50's and 60's. My wife grew up there at the end of Perry Lane. Yup, her maiden name is Perry. BB

|Tricia||RE: info on Carbine/Brick family cemetery|
I don't actually live in WV. The photos I uploaded from WV are a cemetery next to my daughter's apartment building. But I googled the name of the cemetery you're asking about and I might have found it. It's listed as the Brick Cemetery, rather than Carbine/Brick, but it does seem to be on/near Tyler Mountain.
Go to the alphabetical listing for Brick Cemetery and click on the map link.
Below is a googlemaps link.
Don't know if you're familiar with WV, but Kanawha County is the county that includes Charleston, WV, although this cemetery seems to be in Dunbar, which is adjacent to Charleston.
What grave/graves are you looking for? If you're not in the WV area I can see if my daughter can check this out. IF this is the correct cemetery, she only lives a few miles from it.
I did a cemetery search on FindaGrave and found a listing for Brick Cemetery although no graves are listed. It has a map attached to it. I also found a Carbine-Shawver Cemetery - also in Kanawha County. No map, but the intersection is listed. There are 23 graves identified there.
