Hello. Are you related to Hugh Carnahan? I bought a photo of Hugh in his WWI uniform today at an estate sale.

Hello. Sorry I do not have any burial records for that cemetery. Maybe records can be found at the Lafayette County courthouse in Lexington Mo.

We all wind up jumping about. I Don't worry about it any more. And on ancestry, I always stop to correct them- like yesterday 100 years between the woman's dates and her husband- NOT LIKELY. But they never answer, and I don't know if they change it. I have done the DNA- and some of my genetic matches don't match! Well, I know they can only give me directions to go in, and that I am still kin to that person SOMEHOW, just not the suggestion they gave, which I quickly prove has a person tied to my tree who does not belong! I tell them too. Again, no answer. I quit expecting one-even when I give them a lot of information. Ancestry is set up to encourage anonymous. I resent those with private trees downloading all my proof and then I can not see their trees. I would block them if I could. Blocking only keeps them from writing me, not looking at my tree. But it is still the best we have available to share now- and I have gotten some good information-once in a while. And I enjoy doing it-have for over 37 years. Full time now since retirement 7 years ago. (Retirement at 70)

Both groups had the name change-sometimes one sometimes the other. I try to leave it Armour-so I can find them when I am looking for them! But have some of both. Mainly it was caused by some of them not knowing how to spell it, or the wives left at home, seldom with any schooling- to tell the census taker etc. You learn in Genealogy-that the different spellings-are just pretty common, and no big deal.
|Gerry Hill||RE: Grave picture|
I have been into Genealogy over 36 years now.
The earliest change in the spelling-started in Greene Co Ga in the early 1800's. Before that it was pretty consistently Armour- except for an occasional Census taker etc. My family moved there- and stayed in Ga.
I have traced yours too-but don't find as much as I want to- however I did correspond with descendants, many years ago.
I had someone on ancestry download my material-and try to attach this group there-they did it-but it can't be done! There is no proof tying them together that late. There is some back in NC.
I thought I would try to prove more for this fella-then show him. Still working on it!

I would like to ask about using the grave picture of Noah Armour in my research. How are you related? I am much further back.
Good Morning, Laurinda! Thank you for taking the time to write regard the Bowman Family. No relation to the family.

Hi...as far as I know I am not related to these people. I am related to a bunch of Amer's.
You will need to go to each memorial that you want & go to the edit tab & submit your request for a transfer. Please don't forget to leave your Find A Grave # on each one. Be specific on each one, because I may not get to all of them at once. Then I won't forget, if you are specific with names, Find A Grave file #, your Find A Grave #, etc. After receiving those, I will be happy to transfer them to you.

Did you get my message on how I am related to the Armour's?
