Joseph Warren Hi Bonnie: I noticed that you put in a photo request for Joseph Warren, died 1732, Lakenham Cemetery, Carver, Plymouth, Mass. The gravestone for Joseph was documented by Charles M. Thatcher in the early 1800's. It is in his book: "Old Cemeteries of Southeastern Massachusetts." The gravestone is no longer there, it was not found when the cemetery was documented by John A. Shaw in December of 1998. Take Care, Sandy
RE: Joseph Warren I have found in "Genealogy of the Warren Family 1620 - 1872" a Joseph Warren who was one of 11 children of Samuel Warren and Eleanor Billington. It has Joseph born 1714 which is a church record from Middleboro. This seems to match the information that you have, except for the year of birth, you have 1715. But if you deduct the age at death from the year of death you have the year 1713 as about the year of birth. Perhaps 1714 was the year he was baptized, seeing this is a church record. I will add this information to the biography as possible information. Thank you, Sandy
Joseph Warren Hi Bonnie: You had sent me an edit for my memorial on Joseph Warren, died July 22, 1732, #104331474. You would like me to add date of birth: Feb. 21, 1715, Middleboro, MA. Please let me know where this information came from and do I have access to it? Thank You, Sandy
RE: Davis Thank you very much, Bonnie, for the kind reply. The only John Davis born on that date was the one born in New Boston, according to the town records and the NHVR copy. I do not see a John Davis born in Swanzey. I see the marriage record of a John Davis and Rebecca Warren. The question remains: how do we know the two men were one and the same? I was hoping someone might have enough direct, indirect, or circumstantial evidence to make a case, but it doesn't appear to be so. Thanks again. Marie
I'm researching a particular Davis family, that of John and Abigail who had several children born in New Boston NH (town records) including John 11 May 1780. Wondering what evidence you might have for the birth place of the John buried here and what evidence you might have for his marriage to Rebecca. Thanks for any help!
