I'm happy to make corrections and add information or family links to any of the memorials I've created. Please use the 'Edit' button in the upper right corner created for that purpose. In most cases I follow Find A Grave guidelines regarding transfers. Requests made that fall outside of the guidelines, or do not state relationship, are no longer being acknowledged. Justifying out-of-guideline transfer request for the sake of adding links and/or other information doesnt work. I am perfectly capable of doing this, as I do this several times daily/weekly. If you decide to not forward information or links because a transfer isn't done, then that's your decision and everyones loss.
Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together.
Most updates, corrections and links are done within a week, many are done within minutes. If the changes arnt made in 10 days please send another msg, the e-mail gods may have eaten the first one. Guidelines do suggest a member send no more than 20 per week, but I have yet to be overwhelmed by changes. Send what you need to complete a project and I will deal with it. My objective is getting memorials, and cemeteries as accurate and complete as humanly possible.
No Cemetery.
People who have large numbers of no name cemeteries are, in my opinion, abusing the system created by Find-A-Grave. To make memorials and wait for others to spend the time adding the proper memorial then claiming yours to be a duplicate is wrong on any number of levels. If you have large numbers of no cemetery memorials be forewarned, I will not delete any memorial because of your abuse.
I will not link to burial unknown or no cemetery unless it fits the criteria set by the site: Under the new guidelines, burial unknowns are subject to removal after 30 days.
Photography.
My photos are free to use for personal uses such as books and personal web sites as long as they remain un-edited. Do Not Remove my name. I do not allow my work to be published on paid sites. If you are unsure about this please email me with your request. Some of the photos are very old digital and there is no way for me to get better quality. However, the large majority are made with professional gear. If you have a project where you need high quality photos let me know.

 | Edward Merjil Dear Mr. Hayes,
When I searched for Ed Merjil the only result was your listing of him in Vandalia cemetery.
I fear (based on his DOB and Death) that this Ed Merjil was one of my men (I was a platoon leader in the 101st Airborne) on Hamburger Hill (fought from May 10 TO 20, 1969) and that he must have died within a couple of years of that battle in Nam.
Ed was a great guy and I've thought often and happily of him over the years. I was hoping to see him when I come West later this year.
Can you give me any more info about him that could confirm or negate my fear that this is him?
Appreciate it, and your other contributions.
Thanks Don Sullivan warlock3187@gmail.com | | | Kathy

 | Wyatt and Irene Wallace Thanks for posting the updates, Scott. (I always do full transcriptions, as stone masons and county clerks do make mistakes. It saves some explaining, and makes up for wear, tear and connections.) You are appreciated. -Ernie-

 | RE: Walrod Thanks for the heads-up on Bernice, I hadn't noticed you added her. I'll work on figuring out how she fits in the tree.
Many thanks,

 | Boutwell's Scott, Thank you for the headstone photo's for Martha and Leslie Boutwell. Did you by chance see a marker for their son George Benjamin Boutwell (1919-1944)? He deceased in British Columbia, Canada but I can't find documentation for where he might be buried. If you find him please add a memorial and photograph.
Thank You, James Boutwell | | | Doris Wyss
