I have been doing family research for about 14 years now and have collected quite a few cemetery records of family and photos and decided it was time to share. I have found a lot of information on this website already that was very helpful and really appreciate all the volunteers who are involved. I was a Wilson before marriage and the families I have researched are WILSON,CAROTHERs,FOX,SCALES, GRAY,SIMPSON, SHARP (3 different lines)ELLIS, CHERRY, MYERS,KUESTER,RALSTIN, MCGEE,MCPHERSON.|

I am a little hesitant to change any of this information since my mother-in-law was his granddaughter, Junie Ruth Qualls Baker, and he lived with her and her mother, Annie Beatrice Wilson Qualls, until he passed away in 1934. They would travel to Wildersville all the time and visit the family cemetery and numerous relatives still living there. Ruth and her mother, Annie, were seriously into genealogy and all of her hand written records were given to me when Ruth passed away in 1996. The way it is listed on the David Henderson Wilson's find-a-grave memorial is as she and her mother had it written. Census records for 1860 and 1870 have him living in the Fannie E. and David Wilson household. Elizabeth Crider, his mother, died in 1853. David Henderson Wilson married in 1871 and appeared differently after that. His death certificate has David Wilson and Elizabeth Crider listed as his parents.

Thanks so much for your prompt reply. I am descended from John Peebles through his daughter Mary, who married Melchizedek Atterbury. Thanks so much for sharing your research with us.

I've been looking for the gravesite of Melchizedek Atterbury (b. 8 Apr 1780, in Chester, Chester County, South Carolina, and died 6 Feb 1853, in Girard, Macoupin County, Illinois). His wife was Mary Peebles. Seems like every one of the Atterburys spelled their surname differently, and you cannot imagine the variations for "Melchizedek." I've found a number of members of his family in Macoupin County and assorted Peebles/Peoples, largely thanks to you, but I haven't found him. Would you have any suggestions? Celia Elliott, Melchizedek's 4th-great granddaughter.
|Mary Hammond||Louanna fox, daughter of your Daniel|
I am trying to help a prospective DAR member document that her Louanna who was born about 1810 in Hopkins co., KY and married George Wyatt was a daughter of your Daniel who was a son of Titus Fox, a DAR Patriot. DAR members descend from Daniel's children: Zalmon L., Urel Daniel, and Daniel Critendon.
Thanks for any help,
Mary Hammond (#48241044)

Thank you, I'd be glad to maintain her memorial since she is family. She is the daughter of my Great Great Aunt. If I can find where her parents are buried I will add the information to her memorial.

I'm researching my family history and am guessing you must be related, since you're maintaining this one.
Do you have any records showing her marriage to George Shindler? Through Ancestry.com I've only found census records for her and Dan Ralstin.
Thanks, Debbie Cook Davis

I meant to tell you that if you enlarge and look at the photo that I have on Ephriam's memorial, there is a monument above his broken one. I could not read it, but it could very possibly have been Mary's stone. I didn't place the photo on her memorial because I wasn't positive. I hope to go down there again this summer as I know didn't quite get finished(not Mary's)but there were three or four and I could not get a good angle..sun and all. There are only 23 memorials with missing photos, a large part of those are piled up and not readable or just not there. Also quite a few are children and infants and may not have markers. cj

For all the info I have on Clarence and family, check out RootsWeb...My ID is cbehringer...You should be aware, however, that I've probably added quite a lot since initial submittal. Also, that I've put all the source information on the blood line as opposed to separating them out...In other words, you should look under Ocie as opposed to Clarence, but do show all his marriages (but not all his chidlren)when you click on him)...
Isn't Find A Grave a wonderful genealogical resource?
