|Born and raised in Florida. 6th Generation Floridian. My folks settled in north central Florida before it was a territory. I began the search to locate some of my earlier ancestors, with a lot of success, and have found much, much more... many relatives I never before knew about. New discoveries are made almost daily. I have found many patriots, a few scoundrels, a couple of famous people, but for the most part just hard working, decent folk who helped forge the way for us today. It has been, and will continue to be, a rewarding adventure. |
It's wonderful that so many are interested in remembering those who came before us. After all, without them we wouldn't be here.

I here you ..and would agree but let me put it too you like this ..and this isn't about Betty begin transfered to me ok..say I was hunting and I just sat starting at this duck now I never did anymore for it then give it a name throw some dates on it and I have it for 6 yr and I'm not trying to do anything with it for it etc and someone comes along and they could do something for it make it better breath some life into it but I say no not have en it it's mine you can look at it and pamper it for Me so I get all credit for it I ts not doing justice for the duck ...kinda like ..it's not about the person and there memorial it's about how many an how much u have ...because you want the most gratification at the end..I'm not a closed minded person I'm very open minded so if I weren't Google in looking for info to put on this persons page to show who they were and help others find there roots ...I would say sure I haven't did it any good I got plenty more to concentrate on....on the people I have cards on an in memory cards I simply wanted to return the information get it on there .Would have tuned around transfered ba x k if they wanted...matter a fact gentlemen I had requested it told me was his uncle like to keep I understood I just sent him scanned copy of card so he could ...and most everyone has been nice no problem...but you have that one who just can't give you give them b Ames an realize there alot so u do it by one grave yard..an send them all names now you are getting aditude from message say take them forever to go on click each name an type transfer so u do hours later get a message to u seems aditude and you ask for your grandparents your ggg grandparent they talk down to u for whatever reason and you get no where all because someone can't let go a little because they have strived to get the most done the most..that isn't doing these people's memorials any justice ...it is about given someone who is gone a voice to reach out for family ....everyone has to be able to work together for the good of the cause..yes I'm new get it..but I will do more the ones I manage like cleaning the area up and the stone get nice pictures..so greedy people can be just that greedy ....I can information to people in other ways Facebook has tons of pages I'm on people hungry for links of information..I don't have to have a site that says I have over hundred thousand that I mange when I never mange it at all ...anyway like I said has nothing to do with u or Betty I can visit her grave anytime I like it's a family cemetery ...

I'm sorry if you took I was angry or upset with you I wasn't ..I was frustrated that was all and I enjoy doing geneolgy..but I have all these clergy cards and in memory cards which I have laminated and wanted to simply share all the info which is alot..I realize I am new to this site and have mentioned no disrespect to anyone ..but sometimes people don't here how there words come across ..I wasn't trying to take anything from anyone I W's only trying to share the info for others and add to the pages ..just because there life ended on earth do sent mean couldn't enhance the pages and I have all information and pictures that was all...
But if it is going to cause a lot of drama I rather just not pursue it here if that's how it is on here...most everyone has been friendly and great...but I want to help others find family easier then was on others...I thought this was a work together ...but guess I have been wrong and should just pack the stuff up and forget it...

Many thanks for sending the photo of my gggm's
gravestone! I may have seen it as a child when I visited the cemetery with my mother. Of course,
I don't recall the headstones, just the stories my mother told about our relatives.

Thanks again for transferring a family member's memorial to me.

Wow, thank you for the transfer of George Ellison's memorial to me.
Thank you Thank you
|Louise Sweeney White||Hiram Eli Eldridge|
I am not sure you are correct that Hiram Eli Eldridge, b 1837, was the father of Andrew Jackson Eldridge, b 1850. That would have made Hiram 13 when Andrew was born.
Louise White, 2nd great granddaughter of Andrew.
