Susanna Schmidt is my brother-in-law's 2nd Great grandmother. Her parents, far as I can tell, are Henry Schmidt and Justina (Mattern) Schmidt. I found a copy of Justina's death certificate and the Place Of Burial says "Nashville Ills."? At least that is what it looks like. Do you know where she is buried?
Good morning, I visited the Boss Cemetery 2-3 years ago and took the photo that is listed on both his/her gravesites. I perhaps did so in error, noting that there was a link between the names. I clearly remember the cemetery and the fact that the stones had photos. I know her's was done correctly. His photo could have been posted simply by following a link and not paying sufficient attention to the cemetery to which I was led.
If you believe he is in error, I will most certainly delete the Boss Cemetery photograph of his memorial. I did not make the actual memorials, but am a photographer, so know nothing regarding the actual burials.

No my brother-in-law, my sister's husband, is a direct descendant. I am working his family tree.
|Michael Stephens||Anna (Doll) Merkel|
I contacted Bellefontaine Cemetery to see if Anna was actually buried there since none of the photos of markers has her name on it. The Cemetery e-mailed me that the only Anna Merkel buried there died in 1957? It can't be the same person. Are you a descendant of Anna & Louis Merkel? My brother-in-law is descended from them.

I am not sure. Have not been there in so many months. I was photographing sections to help Jenn. Have you tried calling the office?
You're very welcome. Glad I could be of help. My husband is actually related to the Weidinger family so if I can help you with anything else just let me know.

So glad it could be of help for you. I actually didn't think it was out there but Charlene Sanders was with me who helped me find it. It is actually the same stone with Jacob on one side and his wife on the other. It sits right on the main road just south of the priests. Next time I am out there I will try to get you a shot of where it is in relationship to the gazebo or road. If you are ever back in town and need to find anyone else let me know.
we ended up doing a lot of research on some of the families trying to update the map and I remember looking into the Koopmann's.
Would love to hear about the Kunkels in case it is my line. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org

It was an honor to take the photo. Did you notice the name on the stone is Othilia rather than Othelia? I took several pictures but it is a difficult stone to read. Also, she is next to Andrew Hogan so I took his photo. If that was her husband, we can link them.

Hi Steve, I have really loved this website for my family research. To see a picture of my great-great-grandparents grave in Texas is amazing. I wanted to do for someone else what others did for me. My 14 year old daughter and I went yesterday afternoon and found the headstones quickly. We pulled the weeds aroud the stones and straightened the flower arrangements. There are 4 "fake" arrangements at the top of each stone (2 each). I do have a picture of that if your wife would like it. It was just not a great "web worthy" shot. So glad I could help. Wishing you and your family the best. Sincerely, Tish
