My email address is email@example.com. I would prefer to correspond with you more privately. I can scan the picture on Tuesday.
|Diann Randall||Tamar Ethel Griffith Pendell|
Hi, Jenny: I don't know if you are a relative of any of those you listed. If you are, I have a picture of a person who I think, for many reasons, to be Tamar's mother, Harriet Griffith. Harriet's first husband, James Randall, was my great, great grandfather. The photo was given to me by my uncle's family upon his death. My father, Bernard Randall's family lived in Middleton, Michigan.
Thank you. Diann Randall McCormick
It is the grave stone photo. The dates don't match the memorial dates. The stone is for a different Katharina Nickert in the same cemetery.
Can it be removed or deleted
The photo of the cemetery stone on this memorial does not belong here. I copied it and will place it on the correct memorial.
|L Lane||RE: Andrew Jackson Womack|
This Andrew Jackson Womack is a mystery! An Andrew is listed in the 1850 Census living with his parents Charles & Elizabeth Womack living in Bedford, TN. He is also listed with them in Bedford Co, in 1860. There is an A.J. Womack on the Co C, 19th AR Infantry Roster, aged 22, which would mean his birthdate would be 1839. There are other family members also enrolled in the same company which leads me to believe it is the 'Arkansas' AJ. After the war, he is back in Arkansas, married there, and is there for the 1870, 1880, and 1890 Census. Then in 1900 he is in Cottle Co, Texas, and then Hardeman Co, Texas in 1910 until his death in 1932. His d/c does not list his parents, but does state he was born in Tennessee. Here is a comment that someone left on my tree on Ancestry that may solve this:
According to Roger Womack of the Womack genealogy site (www.womack.net.net) This Andrew 1839 -1832 would be the 8 month older uncle of Andrew Jackson Womack 1839-1904.
Andrew Jackson Womack 1839-1904 sp Sarah Pearson was the son of Charles Wiley, son of Micheal son of David and Elizabeth Hawkins. (This is the one buried at Rosebank in TN)
Andrew Jackson Womack 1839-1932 sp Eliza Jane Jones was the son of David son of David and Elizabeth Hawkins. (This is the one buried in Quanah in TX)
I will pursue this person's theory and see where it takes me!
Thanks for contacting me - I really do want to make things as accurate as possible!
