Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started my interest in my Families Geneology when I was Ten and with the encouragement of my Mom interviewed all my parents siblings and Great Uncles and Aunts and my Granfather to get a perspective on their child hoods and family life..I treasure that information even more today. From interviews I began to put names to pictures and family histories began..my Dad's oldest sister sat long hours in the library and showed me how to proove by documentation..and not by just hear say..it has always been like detective work to me and I love to put together not only mine but find another researchers family and see their face light up when they discover who their family was and is. I probably have shared more information then ever received..but not everyone had the priviledge to walk down the same streets as my grandparents did..One of my favorite things to do is to meet someone new in my family story and calculate how we are related..and I have met a lot of 3, 5 and 6 cousins once, twice removed..Smile! Rae

David Davis in Howe

Mariah is on the cemetery list as a unmarked grave. She is next to David and Flora Wilson.

When did she died?

bye

RE: Grave Stones
Rae, I talked to the lady who took the photo of Lucy Whetzel's headstone. This is one she took early in our project and the project leader had told her if a stone's inscription did not show up well to use common wheat flower to dust the headstone, brush off all the excess and then take the picture.
This is what she did on this headstone. I know it looks like the picture was edited but I assure you it was not. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

RE: Grave Stones
I see why you may think I edit pictures by the way this headstone looks in the photo. Her husband's headstone turned out the same way. I can assure you I did not edit the photo in any way and never have nor never will edit one in this manner. I input the pictures just as taken.
That being said, this photo was taken by a member of the Genealogy Club I mentioned in my last message. I can again assure you she did not edit the photo either. However, I have asked she verify this headstone and take another photo as she lives near it and I am about 50 miles away. Once we get a fresh photo I will forward it to you. If there is any difference that what is currently shown on the memorial page I will replace it.
I am just as interested as you are about this matter and appreciate you bringing it to my attention.

RE: Grave Stones
When I photo Headstones if there is additional information on the stone I try to include it in the Find A Grave memorial. However, if the headstone names children that may still be alive I do not. I let the photo of the headstone speak for its self. If there is inscriptions on both sides I photograph both sides and include in the memorial.
I am a member of a Genealogy Club with has taken on the task of photographing entire cemeteries in Creek County Oklahoma. Some of the others taking photos do not want to add them to Find A Grave so they send them to me and I input them, with their permission of course.
If I knew which memorial you are referring to in your message to me I may be able to be more specific with my answer.

re: Sarah Elizabeth Rossell Roberts
Thank you for the information. I have put it on her memorial and linked her parents. Do you happen to know where Elwood is buried?
Thanks!

re Sarah Coatsworth
Sarah's husband George was a brother of my g grandfather Jonas. On visits to California in the 1950s we would stop in at Lena Coatsworth's house on Green Street. My grandparents, Dick and Martha Coatsworth Cole, lived on Wood Street.

Good morning, Rae;

I'm not doubting you (I'm not related or researching your family) and I will remove the memorial later today but I took the information from a picture of the stone posted on the Fayette Co. site.
I'm indexing pictures for them.

Pleasant View Presbyterian, Franklin Twp -- whetsel__daniel.jpg

You can browse for it in the "unindexed" photos here:
http://www.pagenweb.org/~fayette/todo/pl_view_pr2/index.html

Is Redstone closely connected to Pleasant View and that's why it was picked up as a stone in that cemetery? (I know there's more than one cemetery right next to each other & photos can be overlapped because of uncertainly which cemetery the stones are in) I can't post the picture of the stone because I don't have copyright information for that. Just curious as to why Lonnie when photographing that cemetery found the stone there?

Again, I will remove mine later today after you've had a chance to peek at this and even if it would happen to be in Pleasant View vs Smock mine is the duplicate. Thanks for letting me know and I will take care of it.
