Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a retired teacher, living with my husband on a small ranch near Victoria, Texas. I enjoy being with family and friends, Boy Scout volunteering, camping, reading, quilting, astronomy, and, of course, genealogy. I am relatively new to Find a Grave, but I am so grateful that this resource exists. Thanks to everyone who has been working so hard to create all these memorials and post the photos. I'm glad that I have been able to fulfill some photo requests myself and will try to help for any requests in my area.

Albert LaFevre
Hi Janet,

Sally LeFevre Trusler is in contact with me and looking for information on Her great grandfather Albert LaFevre.

She would like to know if thee is a contact person for the Gause cemetery and I see that you are the keeper of the page.

I realize that you may be related but anyway I thought I would just type a quick note and will share the email if you would like to see it and I am sure she would not mind.

Wade Cem.
Janet, I claimed your photo request because I have taken photos of all of the apparent stones in Wade Cemetery. Just this spring I was able to get into it and see where stones were. I have added photos for all of the stones I saw. This cem. is a very small, rural cemetery that is half Anglo/German names and half Mexican names.
I rechecked my file for Wade Cem. and didn't see a stone photo for Catharine or her husband. If they are there, sadly their stones are lost.I know this is disappointing but I'm pretty sure these stones are not there. I'm very sorry.

RE: Olive Todd Walker
I was glad to have been of assistance in this situation, especially since I blew it the 1st time around. As to your query on "do cemeteries remove them (memorials) if they crack", my experience has been that the local cemeteries do little-to-nothing once they have collected $$$ for the original internment. I have tried to get them to raise or reset markers that have shifted or fallen and the standard response is "contact the family", so the answer is probably "no". That is the reason that I filed the plot overview so that U could see the scene as it is today. Everything there is in good shape, the markers are complete and it appears to be kept up quite nicely. I have property in Waco and La Grange so I pass by there once a month, if something comes up that U want verified, let me know and I'll take care of it, Respectfully, James Coston.

The stone with varied credentials is -NOT- there, I have added a full plot view for your viewing.

RE: Olive Walker, Walkers Creek Cem
Hey Janet, I feel like I just fell off a turnip truck on this one, HA !!. I live in the Waco area and take hwy 77 to La Grange on a regular basis, I go right by the cemetery. I'll be going that way again in a week or so. This time my wife will be going with me, when I error, I depend on her to "bail me out" so to speak. Given all the credentials you posted, your right, there is no way it can't be there so if no one picks it up before then, we will head back over there and figure it out. I didn't have my laptop when I went so I never read your note on what to look for. I was using my att touchfone and it won't allow opening thoes notes. We'll figure it out, thanks for the update, Later, James

Olive Walker, Walkers Creek Cem.
I was over there yesterday walking the cemetery, 2X, but was unable to locate any Walker surnames. I checked her death certificate, it does confirm the location so I don't know what to tell ya. I need to note that there is an 'unusual' number of temp markers that never had the information placed on them, they were blank from the get-go, don't know what that's all about.

RE: Paulie Wood
Hi Janet,

Thank you. Itoo found Paulie's memorial. I was suprised that Henry didn't have one. I'm fairly sure he's buried next to her. ';m ging to check with some family members on that. Perhaps they will put a stone up for Henry.
