Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for 30 plus years. Absolutely have a passion for my ancestors and learning more about them. I have been a member of the Daughters of the Republic of Texas for 22 years. Have proven 19 ancestors were in Texas during the Republic. Still searching for the 20th one! I am elgible for a number of lineage organizations. But prefer spending as much time as I can doing research for now. Although, I am diligently trying to prove my Mayflower lineage through my gggrandmother Sarah Jane Blair. Her parents were George W. Blair and Marhta Bonham.
I really have enjoyed the findagrave website. And used it many many times. I will help others in any way I can. It has made reseach so much easier. In the past every time we were going on a vacation, our kids would ask, "Are you going to see live people or dead people"? They knew the answer. We never passed up a cemetery or courthouse.

Joy Parker
Hi, I saw your name on a findagrave page for Joy Davis. Her mother is Maude Burnes of St Lawrence, it says. Can you share any more info on her, please? She was the 2nd wife of William Davis Parker, my father-in-law. Thanks! Janice Parker

RE: Shiloh Methodist Cemetery
Just recieved your inquiry.....The only Shiloh Church Cemetery I have researched is the Shiloh Methodist Church located in Columbus County, North Carolina.....Highway 211.....near Bolton. The cemetery is located at the church.

My father and both sets of grandparents are buried, plus a lot of other relatives.

I am not as active as I was earlier.....just try to maintain those memorials I entered.

Would you want to manage this Shiloh Cemetery?

re: your questions about Shiloh Methodist cemetery in Feb.
I saw your note in Feb. to Betty Richardson asking about Shiloh Methodist Church cemetery and that you saw 3 different Shiloh listings, making it hard to place your relatives. Part of the mystery is that the cemetery is listed as MARION county rather than Alachua. The title, map, and picture of the cemetery is listed on here as:
Shiloh United Methodist Church

People can't find it in Alachua so they keep creating new Shiloh's I think. Hope you might have found it by now, but if not this should give you a clue to get everything straight for your family members. Thanks.

RE: Mary lizabeth Gray Linebarger
Hi Geri,
I looked her up on Ancestry and also found her death certificate at She is listed on the death cert. as being buried in Staples Cemetery, Guadalupe County, Texas, b. Nov 4 1873 to Faris Gray and Mary Jane Brown, and d. Sept 29 1953. Is that the correct information for her parents? The name for her father doesn't seem right.
I believe she was the aunt of my great aunts Beth, Viola et al. Is that correct?
I don't see many listings for the Staples cemetery. I realized after looking her up that you already had all that on your R.F. Gray family sheet, so I'm not sure why you asked me, unless you just want me to enter it into Find-a-Grave.
Best regards,

RE: Mary Elizabeth Gray
I believe the Mary Elizabeth Gray you are referring to is my great aunt who is buried alongside her brothers and sisters in the Union Valley Cemetery. I believe the one you are referring to may have been her aunt.
My great aunt never married.
