Yes, they do look like bullet holes to me too!
This is a really old cemetary in a very remote location, therefore I am surprised to see any signs of vandalism. There are many un marked headstones also. I took photos of every marked grave in the cemetary, and still have many more to enter, so keep looking, hopefully there could be more Hughess you are interested in. It is in remarkably good condition considering it's location. Someone must be looking after it.
I'm happy to hear I have helped you. Ed

HEATH GRAVE IN L.I.N.C.
Hi,
I got the picture you requested for Katherine Heath in L.I.N.C. She is buried with her husband Lee R. I've also added a picture to his memorial and created a link between them.
Have a good one...
Glenn

Earnest & Blanche Gilchrist
Terry, FINALLY, got headstone photos for both "Susan" and her husband who are buried next to each other in Block 10, Lot 242, Space 10 & 11, although you'd never find it without the curb marker 29. Check out "Susan" headstone photo also, if you like.

RE: Susan Gilchrist
That IS interesting how people do change and use a different name when they are buried! My parents did that.....my father was NEVER called by his given name "Claudia", and for good reason (ha) but was buried under that name. AND, my mother never went by her first name "Marian" but was buried under that name. If anyone who knew them looked for them, they would never be found.
I'll let you know what I find out on Susan "Blanche" and will transfer Ernest.

RE: Susan Gilchrist
Terry, I checked further and found a death certif for Ernest which listed his wife as "Blanche". Perhaps that is the name she is listed under at the cemetery (they don't take any pains to look for someone). I will go back and check on that name. Also, I went ahead and made a memorial for Ernest, 69435892, which I would be happy to transfer to you if you like. I will also attempt to get a photo for him.

photo request
Mount Moriah in Kansas City is huge, and we have about a foot of snow on the ground with more coming today. I'll try to get your photo this spring.
