I am confused with Elizabeth's spouse. I have him as the William Carpenter, Find A Grave #41892759. Can someone clear this picture and confusion for me?

Once it warms up, I would be happy to see what pictures I can get.
|Sarah||Frances Elizabeth Dames Carpenter|
Many researchers have spent endless hours researching and have written numerous books about the Carpenter family. There are some who state that Frances Elizabeth Dames did not exist. As one writer stated, 'The claim that Joseph Carpenter had a wife named Frances Elizabeth Dames appears to be new -- the contrived name "Frances Elizabeth Dames" has previously been claimed to be the forenames of a daughter of Joseph who married John Mann.' (http://archiver.rootsweb?.ancestry.com/th/read/CARPENTER/2007-06/1182646035)
As a researcher who needs documentation such as records, documents, etc., I am looking for specific evidence that this person existed. Do you know of any such information? Many who have posted family trees on-line have Frances Elizabeth Dames included, but I have not seen a footnote that provides a valid reference. Do you have a specific reference? Thank you. Sarah

Hi, I saw you are trying to find Taylor relatives. I am as well. My Great Great Grandfather was John M. Taylor who married a Linton.

I am local historian and you have this white Confederate soldier buried in an African American Cemetery. Also this cemetery didn't exist in 1872.
He should be marked as burial location unknown. There are two white cemeteries in the Wooster area that he could be buried in and I'll check them out over the holiday weekend.

I am not a direct descendant of the Yoho's, but I do have some cousins that are Yoho's.

Hi GL. Thank you very much for the information. If you are sure this is the same man, please add the picture. Also, if you know his date of birth, please forward it to me and I will make the corrections. Thanks again.

Hi, Im sorry I also do not know the name of Mary's mother. We have searched for years and cannot find that information. Mary is my 10th Great Grandmother. Mary was married twice. Some belileve that she had children with a man by the name of "Harvey". That could be where you have found the additional children. Some say that Robert raised these children as his own. My family discovered that she did Marry twice but her second husband married her after Robert's death. I have listed as her children: Ann, Robert, Deliverance, Nathaniel, Daniel, Sarah, John and Elizabeth. I tried your personal email but my yahoo account said it was invalid. Hope this helps. Julie
