|I have been doing genealogy since the summer of 1986, with emphasis on Polk, but have done all my family lines, male and female. I work all Polk lines everywhere, all time periods, have almost 60,000 Polks and related in my db (as of Jan 2013), and encounter a lot of Polks and related on Find-A-Grave. Whenever I find information on Find-A-Grave that I have proof is incorrect, I make an effort to contact the contributor to get the info corrected. I stand in grateful admiration of those who take the time to go out and take pics of tombstones and contribute same to Find-A-Grave. In no way are any corrections I submit intended to diminish the great work these contributors have done and continue to do. I am simply an ardent family historian and amateur genealogist who believes we should strive to get and keep the data we have on our ancestors as correct as humanly possible. I am always ready to discuss any Polk family, male or female lines, with anyone who wants to send me an email. If you are having a problem attaching your Polk connected (or so you believe - family lore, rumor, Great Aunt Tillie says so connected) family line to a Polk line, send me an email, and I will help you sort it out if I can. I am Bill Polk, Kansas City, and can always be contacted at email@example.com|

Thank for the info Bill. I've linked them to her memorial. What about her husband? Sorry I forgot to ask the 1st time. I'm in the process of taking grave photos for Alex City Cemetery and Hillview. I have ACC almost 1/2 done and Hillview about 1/4 done. I like to put as much info as I have in the memorials including grave pics.

Thank you for the corrections. I put the following in her bio. If you would like it removed, please let me know. Does her parents have memorials here that I can link her to them?
Elizabeth was the daughter of William Simeon Street and wife John "Johnnie" Hale Polk, and was a descendant of Capt. Charles Polk, Revolutionary War soldier, said Charles a son of William Polk and Margaret Taylor. Elizabeth was a 2nd cousin, 3 generations removed of President James Knox Polk.
