Askew family, Oak Hill Cem
Morning Shannon,
I went out yesterday and "attempted" to fulfill your requests. However, @ the GPS numbers that I found, since it's Summer (couldn't see out in the field due to hi-grass) I had to give it up.
Locked gate and no people in the area to talk to about getting access.
I posted the following on the site about the location, maybe they will ok it, maybe not but here is what it said:
= = = =
From hwy 84 just West of Coolidge, Tx., turn South on FM 2310.
Travel about 3 miles and the cemetery is located on the West side
Of the road. It is barely visible from the roadway in the Winter
When the foliage is down, unable to view in the Summer months.
The large metal entrance gate to the property has a heavy chain and
Lock on it and is completely rusted, which tells me it is rarely, if ever
Used. This is private property so access must be granted. The problem
Is that there are no houses for a mile on either side, I tried, nobody
That I talked to was of any assistance.
GPS location: 31.7083 -96.6472
= = = =
I will keep this info on my clipboard and hopefully go back out during the Winter when the foliage is gone and thereby be able to locate it.

Re: Photo requests for Jaros
Shannon, although the church records indicate plot locations for Robert & John Jaros' graves, there are NO markers. Perhaps their remains were cremated & combined with other family members' gravesites. That is very common & there's not always a marker. Sad.

I have placed a photo on of Nancy's marker on an other memorial page. She has two memorial pages. I have asked for one to be deleted. Chip

photo requests
I apologize for claiming your photo requests, I am having computer problems and don't know when I will get it going again to put the pictures up. I unclaimed your requests so someone else can do it, but if no one claims, please let me know and I will do something to get them for you. I am very sorry and hope it gets worked out for you.

Michael Jenkins
Hi Shannon,

I went out this morning and took the photos of Michael's grave site. He is buried beside his wife Nancy so I took whole photos showing both their names as well as cropped photo of each of their names. Just about 4 feet away from their marker is another small grave marked "Infant Jenkins" and "P. Jenkins". I took photos of those small markers as well. Please let me know if you'd like copies of those photos, I'll be more than happy to email them to you.

Best regards,

Cedar Island Cemetery
Evening Shannon,
About your request at this cemetery.
I was out there last year. It's on private property and the owner lives elsewhere. I met with him at the property and asked to put the 10 or so graves listed on findagrave. He surprised me by replying that there are over 40. This would be a genealogists gold mine given the location and surnames that are there.
He told me that his cattle were in the area feeding & breeding and did not want to disturb them, sounds logical to me as I live on a ranch.
He said that during the Winter months (that was last year) he and his father were gonna fence the area in and upright the fallen stones, presumably knocked over by hogs and cattle.
I volunteered me and my wife's services to bring a lunch, drinks and come out and help, all he had to do was give us a few days notice.
We exchanged information and SADLY TO SAY, HE NEVER CONTACTED ME. No, I did not contact him because I didn't want to be pushy because we agreed he would take the first step.
Bottom line, it's there, full of unlisted tombstones and and I would love to post what is there, odds are it's gonna be a difficult task for someone to accomplish.

Jeff Fryman @ Forest Park
I see you added a picture request for Jeff Fryman @ Forest Park Cemetery in Houston. If you would call the cemetery at 713-928-5141 and get a "SECTION" and "LOT" I will try to get the picture you want. This is a very large (225+) acre cemetery and without a location would be very hard to find.

Thank you,
Cecil Vaden Jr

Your Open Photo Requests for Thomas Hall Cemetery
I visited Thomas Hall Cemetery today to take photos. I found three Nancy Hall's. I posted two photos of Nancy Hall with death date 1836 vs 1837 on the Find A Grave memorial. If incorrect, I will remove.

Also, there are no Crippens with marked graves in Thomas Hall. There are several marked but not inscribed graves and a few unmarked garves.
