Captain Cornelius Corson & Sailors' Snug Harbor Cemetery
I noticed that you maintain a nice memorial for Captain Cornelius Corson, who is interred at the Sailors' Snug Harbor Cemetery. Are you a descendant of the Captain? I'm also a descendant of a mariner who resided at Sailors' Snug Harbor and is interred at the SSH Cemetery. If you are interested in more information about the SSH Cemetery, I can help you. You can contact me at the email address listed on my member name profile.

I can only add parents and spouses, not children, to the graves which I maintain. To add children to parents' graves, you must control the children's graves. To do that, ask to be assigned the maintenance of the child's (childrens') graves.

RE: Maintenance transfer request
You're right, I'm not the manager! I should have realized that when I didn't get the link.

RE: Maintenance transfer request
Hi, According to the website there is supposed to be a link to let me transfer it, but I can't seem to find it. I cut & pasted the FAQ question/answer below. I also can figure out how to add their parents. Maybe the system is malfunctioning tonight, I'll try again tomorrow.

"How do I transfer a memorial that I manage to another contributor or to Find A Grave to manage and update?

You must be logged in, and you must manage the memorial you are going to transfer. You will also need the other contributor's Contributor ID #. They should have provided that number when they asked for the transfer (it is next to their name on their contributor page). If you are transferring the memorial to Find A Grave to manage, the contributor ID # is 8. (If you would like to transfer all of the memorials you have added to a particular cemetery to Find A Grave to manage, please send us an email with your contributor ID # and a link to the cemetery involved, and we can transfer your memorials to Find A Grave for you all at once.)
After you log in, go to the memorial page you are going to transfer. There will be a link on the right side of the memorial page, under the person's name, that says Transfer Management. Click on the link. Add the other contributor's ID # in the box on the Transfer Management of Memorial page that comes up, and click on the transfer this memorial button. NOTE: Once you have transferred the memorial, you will no longer be able to edit or update it. [Top]

To my Find a Grave friends,
16 year old Tiffany Borrero died May 1 2012. Please take a moment to stop by her memorial and leave some flowers.

RE: Dr. Lazear's family found buried in Santa Barbara, CA?
That has to be their daughter Margaret, although I think they have the date of her death wrong (according to her Social Security Index).

I just found a record of William's death that lists his mother as 'Houston.' Constance (Dreyfus) Lazear was William's wife.

Do you want to just add your pictures to Dr. Lazear's page? If you have more that can fit, I will sponsor his page and you can add up to 20 that way. If you want to email them to me instead, my email address is

RE: Dr. Lazear's family found buried in Santa Barbara, CA?
That's definitely the correct Mabel (Houston) Lazear and William Houston Lazear. I found an obituary for Mabel and a letter that Dr. Lazear wrote about the birth of their son on 6 Feb 1899. I am assuming that is their daughter, Margaret, but am still checking to see if I can definitely prove it.
