RE: Read Bentley, Quincy, FL
You are more than welcome. I just received a request that had for another grave, and when I viewed the grave yard link, I noticed there was five request. Thankfully, I have found the three oldest request. I am a new member.

Mr. Bentley's tombstone was hidden behind limbs from a small oak tree, but I am glad I found it. I think it is wonderful to remember people who has passed on.

Effie Pope
I saw your notes on Effie Pope's memorial at Mount Ebal Cemetery. Do you know her fate? She was very young. So was her husband Thomas Edgar Pope when he died a few months later.

RE: Head stone of Rebecca Holton
You're welcome Marisa. I couldn't find Nathaniel's grave and given the circumstances for Rebecca, I assumed his headstone was gone. When F.A.G. approves the cemetery photo for the Holton Cemetery home page, there is a picture of the cemetery and you can see the size of the oak tree over Rebecca.

RE: Request for Transfer
I am tranferring this as I type. My most humble apologies for not getting back to you sooner, but we recently moved back to Kansas and things have been hectic. Beautiful pictures you have added, and now he will be where he belongs....with you and yours. God Bless..

Caroline Johnson Holton Crosby
Marisa....well, I have found something already which is inconsistent with E. Tomberlin being Eliza Holton as the birth date/year shown for her is three days off from Thomas L. Holton. They could not have been born three days apart.

I just sent you an e-mail about Caroline Johnson Holton Crosby while logged in as Kathy. It is me -- sorry.

Caroline Johnson Holton Crosby

I'm pretty sure I got the other children from a census record. I show these children: Thomas, Eliza, Elizabeth, Berry, Maggie and Alfred Crosby. Caroline married Abram M. Crosby January 12, 1875 and I show Alfred Crosby was born about 1878.

Unfortunately I do not have any more information about John R. Holton but since Caroline married Abram Crosby in January 1875 it stands to reason that he died at least in 1874. If you have information on that I would appreciate having it.

Are you a descendant/member of this family?

Marisa: I believe everything you sent me is shown on Caroline's memorial page. I did not add the memorial for her second husband, A. M. Crosby. I have asked that contributor a number of times to add Abram as his first name to no avail.

I do show in my data base that John R. Holton and Caroline Johnson Holton had the children you mentioned; in addition, I show Elizabeth Holton (1873), Berry Holton (1875) and Maggie Holton (1876). I can not find Thomas L. Holton or Eliza F. Holton Tomberlin in Find A Grave nor do I know anything about John Ritch Holton or the other three children. Do you have any further information about this family? If so, I will be glad to enter, link, etc.

Thank you.

Thank you for providing memorial photos from Fred Hunter's Hollywood Memorial Gardens for George Harold Belair and his wife Anne M. Belair. The family is grateful so have them. I personally know that tramping around cemeteries can be a bit of work - please just know that you are appreciated.
