Robert Carter Nicholas Sr.
Hello I am researching my Nicholas family line. I was wondering if you may know the names of Robert Carter Nicholas's 11 children? I know 2 of them are Philip Norborne Nicholas and Lewis Nicholas. I am particularly hoping to find an Andrew or Andrew Jay Nicholas. He was my great great grandpa and was born 1812 in Calhoun, VA and he married Nancy Ann Adams. Thanks :)

woodson bell
both woodson bell's I founf were by looking thru u.s. census records on line, and also family search.org... census records were only as good as the person relating the info to the census taker, and oft times I find they were wrong... many people of the era were afraid of the census taker, fearing more tax or loss of property to the gov't, so they fudged info...

family search.org is comprised of records from varied and various sources but I believe represent accurate info.. it is run by jesus Christ of the latter day saints and the have a huge data base of family records going back many years.. anyone can join at no cost...

wish you much luck....

RE: Herbert Bell, Jr.
Hello Janet,

I'm glad I could be of help and happy birthday to your father. There are 4 Nicholas' listed as buried in Meade - which names are you looking for in particular?

Herbert Bell, Jr.
Hello Ms. King,

I saw your note on his memorial that he is your father, so I wanted to let you know I've added a picture of his headstone to his memorial.

Thanks,
Ann
