I have been interested in genealogy ever since my mother passed and left me with a big family chart going back several generations. Unfortunately she was not there to help me put the pieces of the puzzle together, so I joined Ancestry. Since then family history, mysteries and scandals have come to light. All very interesting!!|
I currently live in Michigan in the summer and winter in Green Valley, Arizona. Green Valley has a very active and interesting Genealogy Group that meets once a month. Speakers and very knowledgeable members have added much to finding answers.
I am currently working on the Stephens Family Tree for my children.

|Janet K||Photo req. for Henry Getty|
I did not take a new photo of Henry Getty's headstone, but I did adjust the lighting.
Please let me know if that helps. If you need it adjusted differently, I can try a few other things. Unfortunately, I can't change the lichen growing on it. It's still difficult to read.
If this doesn't work for you, let me know. I will remove it and you may request another photo from someone.

Hi fellow researchers:
I am curious to learn what brought Philip's family from Dutchess County to Jefferson County both in NY. Was there possibly a Bounty Land Grant. Hope to hear from someone.

Hi Mary Ellen,
The Holcomb Family is very prominent in this area. I will suggest to you that you may want to contact the Salmon Brook Historical Society for additional information (860) 653-9713.
Thanks for the note!

You are most welcome.
My husband father believes that the property they live on now was part of the Hopkins family farm years ago located on Hwy 99, near the village of St. George.

You can download the photo from his memorial page. I don't care if you use it. His stone is heavily built up with lichen. It is hard to read.
I'll be at Milton cemetery 5/13/2014. I'm familiar with the Vose plot and will try to fulfill your request.

|Ken Rouston||Hiram Fellows memorial|
Dear Mary Ellen,
I noticed your photo request for Hiram Fellows, Oakwood Cemetery, Saginaw, MI. The following link to the City of Saginaw indicates that his grave has no marker and there is a Clarinda Fellows buried there. Both are located in Sec 63, Lot 26. http://cemeteries.saginaw-mi.com/search/viewBurial.php?serviceID=59895&lotID=O-63-26. I hope this helps.

I have transferred the Johnsons to you as you are family and I am not. I do not manage Herbert's memorial so could not add his parents. Thank you for contacting me, if I have any more of your relatives let me know and I will transfer! Judi
