Hi Celeste,
I don't know? Was Joseph Root in the Revolutionary War? I know that his son Billa was, maybe his brothers, but Joseph might have been too old??

What do you think?

All under my Root's

Rebecca & at least 1 of their children is also buried up in Denmark, Lewis County, NY

Capt Joseph must have been in the French Indian War? He was for certain a Captain in the Militia.

William " Billa" Root ( all connected & down)

I forgot
Hi Celeste,
I forgot, I have Billa's 1st wife up in Denmark, NY

Click under my name Laurie & then up come all my Root Family, not all are related though.
Look for Denmark, NY also Oriskany cemetery, Oriskany,Oneida County, NY & maybe Tolland County, CT?

Aklso You need to link Chauncey Root # 26771914 to his parents:
Billa Root # 97730913
Rebecca Hawkins Root # 108370922

Billa is linked to his father Capt Joseph Root
( he was also a Revolutionary War Veteran), his wife, & his mother.

Sincerely, Your Find Laurie # 47375347

The Root Family
Hi Celeste,

I found You !!!!

Looking over what I have already done on Billa Root, I had Billa & his parents, or at least his Dad. They had moved from Tolland County, CT to Oriskany, Oneida County, NY

Then Billa went North to Denmark,Lewis County, NY
( called North Country, or Upstate New York)near the Adirondack's & very very cold in the winter !!
I do not know where his mother is buried or his wife Rebecca?

Oh, A Friend of Mine( Jeree) took a photo of Billa's tombstone for me ( I forgot )

Thank you & had Nehemiah Root & his sisters & brothers & Billa's children with Rebecca.
As you find them, Please link them up to Billa, OK

PS. yes Genealogy is a lot of fun, it has been a long journey for me & very interesting one at that !!!!! You never know how you are going to meet !! ( : >

Sincerely Your Friend, Laurie # 47375347

RE: John A. Doe
You can make memorials for them. Do you know where they are buried? Any more information?

John A. Doe
Jim, can you add John B. Doe to this site with John A. Doe and the country of birth as Romania. These men were stowaways found in cargo which ended up at a well known home hardware store.
