It seems the stone at one time was broken and when they reset it any other information was gone. It is a shame, but I think they feel a partial stone is better than none.

RE: Dougherty
Hey Jeff....looks like we are 2nd cousins. Our grandmothers Madge and Myrtle were sisters. I'm happy to find a living relative on the Dougherty side of the family. Maybe we could exchange some info and stories. I know I have Find A Grave info you might want. I'm sure you have more Dougherty history than I do. I recognized your name, you are on my contact list. I had found you on Ancestry awhile back through old post.
You can contact me through my email address if you like. Glad to meet you Cuz! ~Suzn

John H. Noble v. John A. Noble
Hello. You sent me a message about John H. Noble, husband of Marie Saunders, born in Ireland. You state that Margaret A. Noble was his daughter and ask me to link.

I am not sure that is correct. There was a John A. Noble in the same area, born in Canada, married to Margaret McNabbe. The birth record for the Margaret A. Noble you asked me to link was a daughter of John A. Noble and Margaret (not Maria). The 1880 US Census you reference was for the family of John H. Noble and Margaret.

Further, the Margaret A. Noble at issue is buried next to Margaret Noble, wife of John A. Noble.

Would you please take a look at your data and let me know your thoughts?

Willis At GAR

I have plans to finish taking all of the Photos of the headstones at GAR during early April. Depends on the weather. I have taken over 8,000 pictures there and have about 2,000 still to take. GAR has the original Cemetery and 9 Additions. I started with the newest Internments and have the Original Cemetery and Additions #1 and #2 to complete. Hopefully with headstones more information will be available. I use familysearch.org with a great deal of success in searching for answers.
Let me know if you have additional family under my management.

Many Blessings
Rev. Larry

RE: Samuel Butler-Fargo Cemetery
Hello,
I just posted a photo request you had made for Samuel Butler at Fargo Cemetery in Morrow County, OH. I used the county records to locate his plot. He's supposed to be buried beside his wife, Catherine. Unfortunately the only thing left (maybe the only marker he had) was a stone that says "Father". I went ahead and posted that along with a photo of the area. Hope this info is helpful.

RE: Loren Robinson
Sure thing - I wish we could have spent the time to clean the grave up a bit. Find a grave does not permit cleaning the graves though, unless one is related.
You just never know what method might hurt the stone.
Glad you can see it a little better...the flashlight helped. :)

Blessings to you,

Julie
