The "German" data was likely sent to me for addition. I see that there is a discrepancy between the state of birth (census records have Montana; the CA Death Index has Missouri). If you are related to Juanita or her husband, I'd be happy to transfer the memorials to you if you like.

RE: Ada De Valle
I checked at the county archives today but there is no further info there. However, the county archivist and I are in agreement that Ada never existed.
The 1880 census in Campo Seco, Calaveras Co. has A. DeValle 51 born in Spain
Estelle 40 Born in France
Julia 7
Mary 6
Ada 4
There is no 1890 census of course, but the 1900 census for SF has
Letalle DeValle 59 born in France (Estelle)
Louise 27
Julia 25
Edward 23
It also says that Estelle had 4 children with only 3 still alive. Edward Frank DeValle was born Sept 5, 1875 and so would have been 4 years old when the 1880 census was taken. The census taker was speaking with a mother who was French and a father who was Spanish and probably misunderstood the name of their youngest child and thought they said Ada when they actually said Edward ( or some form of Edward). That means Mary is the child that died before 1900.
Edward still lives with his sister Julia and her husband Charles Cook in 1930 and lives with both his sisters in 1940 with Julia age 66, Edward age 64 and Louise age 68.

RE: Ada De Valle
This will take a bit of research. The only time the family shows up in Calaveras Co. marriages, births, deaths, divorce etc. is when Julia married Charles L. Cook in 1903.
I will see if I can find any other DeValle info and will get back to you. It may take a week since the county archives, where all old paper records are stored, is only open 2 days a week.

RE: Warren Perry
Mr. Perry's WW1 draft card of 1918 says he was born 30DEC1877 in Hagerman, Chavez County, New Mexico; he was married to Grace at that time.
