Genealogy has been my passion for several years. Find A Grave has been an invaluable tool in that research. Hopefully I can pay it forward by contributing to others that are searching for their family as well. |
For me personally, the point of volunteerism is a willingness to share your time and efforts with others.

It looks like your memorial is a duplicate of #51844908 created in 2010.

|j wyke||Thank you Jennifer|
Good evening Jennifer;
Thank you for those kind words !!!
I sent you and edit to link Ralph Leonard to his parents. Once you do this , the link on the Leonard male side will be one cont. link for 311 years. It will end on Solomon Leonard, of the Mayflower etc. lineage. So it is just a mouse click away.
You should also look at;
Florence J. Huntington Brown f.a.g.#59754090
Martha Niles f.a.g.#87122553 Chauncys' family,brother to Henry B.
They did a lot of this research way back in 1916 !! These woman have my deepest respect and admiration.
Right now our family has the crummy flu, get with me in about a week and keep reminding me so that I can send you book,and references.
I bid you a good evening.

|J. C. Hooper||Depew Burials, Highland Cemetery, Lawton, OK|
My grandmother went to the Lawton Public Library this morning and looked at the microfilmed Highland Cemetery burial records. That required her looking at two rolls of microfilm (1) the alphabetical index to locate the record book number and page number and (2) the record book itself. The owner of the South 1/2 of Lot 27 in Block 30 is simply listed as Depew. Then three names are listed: Margaret Depew who died 3/25/1931; E. W. Depew who died 7/26/1943; and Vera Depew Crow who died 10/28/1948.
The North 1/2 of Lot 27 in Block 30 is owned by E. A. Pelt. The burials in it are Carl Edward Pelt and Sarah Louderback. Carl and Sarah do not have grave markers.
Another trip to the cemetery still indicates that E. W. Depew does not have a grave marker. Last week the initial location of E. W.'s burial spot was made by identifying the burials with which we are familiar: Aucion and Adelman are buried in Lot 24, Block 30. Yeiral in Lot 26. Cox and Haworth in Lot 28. That narrowed it down that Depew was between Yeiral and Cox and Haworth. That's where the grave marker that says Mrs. M. M. Depew is. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to fulfill your request with a grave marker photo.
