Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started working on genealogy in 1993 and have been able to outline the basic details of my immigrant beginnings.

My lineage hails mostly from Ireland, England and Germany. The French name is misleading; as Huguenots, they arrived in the late 1600's at New Rochelle, New York. These French newcomers intermarried mostly with Germans and later generations with English and Irish. My roots are in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

This has been an amazing adventure, both learning about my family and American history. Genealogy allows me a perspective that takes me beyond the grim occurrence of an ugly relative or two or five or six... instead, I try to appreciate the men and women that fought wars, disease, discrimination and even each other to survive and afford me the legacy of life. Finding their burial sites, caring for their graves and telling their stories is my way of honoring my heritage.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if something is amiss, to share information or to simply say hello.

Where is the cemetery? I live just up the street from the market, but I can't think of where the graveyard is, LOL. I know there's a church nearby that has a small graveyard. Or is it the private cemetery on Jefferson Mill Road??

Nina,

You're quite welcome. He is buried with Cecile, with whom he shares the same stone. How are they related?

Best regards,
margaret
