|LKD||Rosamond Joyce Kline|
Rosamond Joyce Kline was my father's stepmother. She was known to all of us as Aunt Joyce. She did not like the name Rosamond. Joyce was a very successful businesswoman in Washington, DC and a great role model to me.
When she was much, much older and retired, she had Carolyn Davis, a former secretary at the office, as her live-in caretaker and companion. After a while, none of her family or old friends were able to get in to see her anymore and news of her passing in late 2001 was found out only by accident.
Norman (Chub)Joyce was Joyce's brother. The "Duffy's" were the beloved boxer dogs that Joyce had over the years. There were several "Mr. Duffy" and a "Lady Duff" or two. Joyce was also an avid fish lover, having several large aquariums in her home.
I was surprised and pleased to see them all here together. It gave me some closure.

There were 3 different names and dates of birth and death. I added the one that wasn't shown and it is shown on the page rather than her own name and dates. I can't edit it. Just wanted to let you know since you are the administrator- maybe you can click the down arrow and make that be a hidden photo rather than her main one. I am wondering if the other 2 names listed are relatives? Norman Joyce and then there is a woman whose maiden name was Joyce? Thanks so much.

|Dan Franklin||McShan - Turner - Moody Family|
You can reach me directly at DanRFranklin@yahoo.com and my phone number is 210-842-8221
I'm headed out for church in a few minutes, but this afternoon or evening would be great if you would like to talk on the family.
I'm wondering if we might could get a male Turner (has to have been a direct male Turner) -- still the same name Turner) to take a DNA test.
Are you familiar with this. I have had some very interesting results with other family lines. You can check out the informatin for Turner DNA at: http://www.familytreedna.com/public/turnerdnaproject
I can explain all of what it means. They have a sale on the testing that ends tommorrow.
We are stuck on on Turner line with Allen Eugene Turner b.1812, GA and his brother Wiley Turner b.1818, GA.
I think it was your aunts, Juanita and Myrtle that I met. I also met your grandmother.
|Dan Franklin||Clyde Layton Mayfield|
I added a picture of the headstone of Clyde Layton Mayfield. I think you had originally posted it on Ancestry.com
I did some editing of the photo before posting it on Find-A-Grave
You and I are 3d cousins, one time removed. I met your mother in the late 1990s at my parents home in San Jacinto County.
My mother's maiden name was Moody, and her grandmother's maiden name was Turner.
