Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy for close to 30 years. Burial records have helped me greatly in my research. I also am history obsessed so I love this site for all the historical information as well as family history data.

I absolutely love cemeteries, nothing I rather do on a free day than to spend it wandering through one. This site is amazing for sharing information as well as honoring our ancestors and loved ones. I love to share genealogy data and hope to help others as I have been helped in the past.

Some of the names I am researching in my family are:

Lammay (LaMay), Stauffer, Huber, Chalfant, Bird, Doty, Woodhull, Orth, Harris, Howell, Schultz, Badenhoop, Rennick, Mumford, Jageman, Molzer.

I sometimes photograph and add random graves on my trips to cemeteries. If I have anyone you wish to have transferred please let me know.

RE: Stephen & Geneveive Lammay
Thanks so much. That would be great if you would transfer her memorial. You actually have documented her 1st marriage and the other documents her 2nd marriage yet the memorial clearly shows her as being known by her first married name so that one should survive in my opinion.

RE: Cruise family search
Hi! Thanks so much for the photos of the stones! Sorry, I just got a chance to really look through them. I do not know anything or recognize the last name of the other family buried with Joseph Parker. I found another James B. Campbell buried at the same cemetery. Maybe the one in the Burich lot is his son, since we didn't know his father's name? Just a thought. Thanks again for your time in taking these photos. I think I tracked down some of the Cruise family living in Allegheny today and am about to try to contact them. Thanks again! Kyle

RE: Cruise family search
HI Margie,
Thanks so much for the links, especially the marriage application. I got a lot of info from it, including confirming Joseph was born in Royersford. Surprised by the 25 or so year age difference between him and his 2nd wife! I also got the death date of Zetta which was Feb. 14. After I see the pics of their tombstones, I will get back in touch with them and fill them in on some info, as Louise's birth year was incorrect in their records. My year for Joseph's birth was also wrong! Thanks for the help! Kyle

RE: Cruise family search
Hi Margie!
I think I now have all the info I found about the Cruise family on this site. Do you know what Zetta's middle name was? The inital is "V." Joseph Parker Cruise's family was from Reading PA and I suppose he moved to Pittsburgh where Zetta was from when they married.
Joseph and Zetta Cruise are buried at Chartiers Cemetery in Sec, G, range 10, lot 271, graves 2&3. Their youngest son, James N. Cruise is buried in the same lot, grave #4, and in grave #1 is a Louise D. Cruise born in 1916 and died in 1993. Any idea who this is? My guess is that it is James N's wife, since they were born the same year?
Joseph P. Cruise,Jr and wife Alma V. (Miller) are buried there as well in section K, range 2,lot 187, graves 3&4.
Joseph & Zetta's daughter Anna Mae (Cruise)Burich & husband Joseph Burich are buried there also. They are in section K, range 3,lot 243, graves 1&2. They were very helpful when I called the cemetery. I entered all this info on here, but there are no photos.
Thank you for your offer to take the photos of their graves, I hope you are still able to do so. Another cousin from the Cruise family and I have been trying to piece the Pittsburgh crowd together! So if I am correct, there are 8 graves total in 3 lots. If you happen to see any others on the same lot that might be family, wouldn't mind seeing those as well. Again, thanks so much for your help! Kyle

Cruise family search
Hello!
I saw a photo you posted on Frank Jageman's (died 1929)memorial page. He is the father of Zetta, who married Joseph Parker Cruise.
Joseph Parker Cruise's father was Louis J. Cruise from Reading PA, and I am related to them through Louis' brother, Henry John Cruise who's entire family was from Reading PA. (my gr, gr grandfather.) I grew up in Reading and am familiar with all their graves and history.
I was wondering if by any chance, you are related to Joseph and Zetta Cruise from Allegheny county PA? Another Cruise cousin and myself have been looking for years for some of Louis Cruise's family.
I also know the Cruise family back to the Civil War Vet, John Cruise who is also a direct ancestor of Joseph and Louis Cruise, and believe it or not have the original Civil War photos of him! Would love to share what I have with other descendants around today. Please let me know! Thanks! Kyle Mange

RE: Flanders Hillside Cem
I'm very pleased you were able to find a relative in one of the cemeteries I documented. I'm sure all the stones in that plot were ones that had fallen and their location was unknown. I'm glad they did it that way to preserve them. Many cemeteries lean them against walls, trees, or even behind bushes. I added McDougall as her maiden name. Let me know if that's incorrect.

More Shoup Requests:)
Hi: I sent a couple of photo requests via the Request Photo button on Shoups in Jefferson Memorial Park. Do you think you could possible revisit the cemetery for me? I think the James R Shoup ( Section G07 GARDEN CROSS Lot 24C ) is a 1st cousin. The section he is buried in goes with my Uncle Art? Could you see if there is an Edith Shoup buried with Arthur George Shoup, Jr? Appreciate any help. Pam
