I am sending you this to see if you are related to Sarah. I saw that you have entered 2 listings on find-a-grave, so I guessed that this is a direct relative of yours.
My wife is a descendant of Sarah's brother, Harry Louis McKinley. Harrah's daughter, Amelia McKinley Lare, died in 1998. She was always talking about her family, but didn't know much about it. Unfortunately, by the time I found out about her parents families, she had already passed away.
I have been trying to find out about the earlier McKinley's: Stephen, Archibald, Daniel, and further back if possible. I know that my wife's grandmother always said that she was related to President McKinley, but I haven't found the link yet and I am back to the mid 1700's.
I just wanted to send you something to see if you were related to Sarah McKinley. If you have anything for earlier McKinley's, I would like to hear what you have so that maybe I could fill in some of the missing pieces of the McKinley clan.
RE: Mr. & Mrs. Johnson Very glad to hear from you cousin! My dad is David Monroe Johnson FindAGrave 87387240, his father is Josephus J Johnson 87365350. Josephus father is John A Johnson 37426026. This I know for sure. I've used FamilySearch.org & FindAGrave to continue my search. I believe John's dad is Joseph Johnson Jr 46701989 & found Joseph Johnson Sr & Serena listed in FamilySearch but have no proof that is correct. Please email me at LindaH1943@sbcglobal.net if you want. Thanks!!
Memorial 35710805 I am gg grandaughter of Elijah Johnson's brother, Joseph Johnson Jr. Great finding you here. Do you have any information on their parents Joseph Johnson Sr & Serena? The info I have is Joseph was born abt 1774 & he is from Ireland, Norway or Sweden. Serena born about 1778 but do not have a last name & she maybe from Sweden or Norway. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated.
If you are interested, this cemetery (with a few guidelines) will allow you to make your own stone. They require a small fee for setting it.
Search for "William Henry Tarwater", MO, Jasper Co.; you will see the marker I recently made for him. They charged $28.00 to set it. I bought materials for 300 markers because it was cheaper than purchasing one stone. I can make 300 for $16.00 a piece. (It works for me.) They are considered temporary markers, but if you will look at "Thelma Louise Tarwater" and her brothers Donald and Ronald Tarwater; their "temporary" markers have been there since the 1940's. You can't put all the information you like, but it's marked.
Again, you can make your own or have one made. I have done it for some other people for the cost of materials. But you can be creative. The Cemetery Office number is (417) 623-7990. Regina is a peach to work with.
