I am a resident of Winooski for the past 36 years and was born here as well. My family names include Barber, Lamoureaux, and Jackson. I have worked to document the two cemeteries in Winooski and also enjoy finding small cemeteries throughout Vermont and Quebec. If you see an error in any of my additions or have additional information regarding a memorial, please let me know I would be happy to make any required changes.

I have found Findagrave to be an invaluable resource for genealogy research. If I can help you in your search please let me know.

RE: Cote Hill Family Cemetery
Hi Ron,

Theodore Cote is my Dad, and he died in 2005. The only Cote Family Cemetery that I know is this one on Cote Hill Rd. My Dad lived and died in Franklin County, but is buried in our private cemetery in Morristown in Lamoille County. I'll try and get a photo posted of his stone.

Cote Hill Family Cemetery
Hi Ron,

Cote Hill Family Cemetery is located in Lamoille County in Morristown, VT. It is a private cemetery my family started in 1999. The cemetery is situated on private property on Cote Hill Rd. It sits in the middle of a horse pasture under a grove of trees, away from the road. There are only three graves as of today, May 31, 2015.

I think AHSGR has translators, but thanks for the offer. I don't think Arizona weather is much different from Tacoma. Mariners spring training starts in a couple days in Arizona - I hope they win this year!..Judi

RE: Alfred Babeu
My father-in-law - Memorial# 101487388 - Raymond Jarrett's uncle.
AHSGR acquired documents (birth, death, marriage) from the Volgograd Archives in Russia at great cost. I translated the records from Kolb Village, as they were written in German, but the Russian military records were in Cyrillic, completely beyond my comprehension. My husband spoke French as a child, but has lost it completely. His mother spoke fluent French, but she never spoke it here, only when she talked to her sisters in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. - we're in Tacoma, WA - East meets West!

You are really being hit hard in the East with horrid weather, and it's "spring" here in the West. Take care...Judi

RE: Alfred Babeu
I am helping my son research my husband's family name - Jarret (Jaret, Jarrett, etc.), and this name is linked through marriage as an in-law. My grandparents came from Kolb, Russia, which is where my research is - a far cry from French. Victor Jarret of Winooski and Colchester is my husband's uncle. I found his wife Georgianna Jarrett, but I haven't found him, yet. Just the Germans, their names change every time you turn around. Nice to have met up with you...Judi

You have listed a Clara Leclair in St. Francis Xavier Cem., in Winooski. You have her maiden name as Devino. That is not correct. Her maiden name was Hatin and it was her mother's maiden name of Devino.
