RE: Jo Anne Pearcy Listing
Understood-- As Deb created this memorial it is not unusual to post a memorial that is based on one spouse has died but both are on the gravestone-- in this case "Unknown" implies that she is still alive or the death date is unknown--- It doesn't necessarily mean that she has died.. Makes it difficult to delete since I did not create the memorial.. certainly do not want to offend Jo-- let me know what you suggest..

RE: The Francis Marion White Picture
We also took photos of the tombstone for Ralph W. White the son of F.M. and J. White located nearby, the stone of Alice and Gail White and the stone of Pauline A. Griffith (June 1904-Mar 1994). The stones for Ralph and Pauline were immediately adjacent to the stone for Francis and J. White but the stone for Alice and Gale was about a row away. The photos of these other stones have been uploaded to the memorials for these people on Find a Grave.

RE: Center Grove Cemetery Request
We got a photo of Robert White's tombstone and also a tombstone for an infant child of Asa and Abigail White that died October 8, 1888. Do you want me to send the photos to your e-mail or do you want to create memorials and I can then upload the photos? Death date on Robert was April 15, 1889 and he lived 72 yrs, 1 month and 26 days.

RE: Seeking additional infon White Family
Hi Family Finder,

There are a lot of unmarked graves in Clark Cemetery and, unfortunately, there was no recording of the burials back in the 1800s. While Robert and Sarah were probably buried there, the only document I've seen that identifies Clark Cemetery as their burial place is an annotated transcription of the 1850 census kept in the Pulaski County Library in Winamac.

Under household number 177 (Robert Senior's household) someone has written the note, "Robert White came to Pulaski County, Indiana from Miami County, Ohio. He died during the Civil War and was buried in the Clark Cemetery, White County, Indiana. Grave not marked."

I don't know when the annotations to the Census were made, but an accompanying letter to "Researcher" bears the letterhead of the Pulaski County Genealogical Society.

Isaac D. White is buried in the northeast corner of Clark Cemetery along side his wife, Lucretia Lewis. According to my information, they only had three children: Lavina, Samuel Lewis Berry, and Melissa. I don't know of any daughter named Sarah, and there is no Sarah White buried in Clark Cemetery (other than my great-grandmother, Sarah Jane Wheeldon, the wife of William White).

If you want to exchange more information on the Whites, please send me an email at JordanFamilyResearch@yahoo.com .

Good to hear from you!

Jerry Jordan
