|I have uploaded hundreds of names from Oak Hill Cemetery in Johnson City, TN. I got the information about names and locations of the graves from the site johnsonsdepot dot com/cemeteries/cemeteries dot htm |
I found the Johnsons Depot site while doing some genealogy work, and the information gave me a start and helped me fill in some gaps, so I uploaded the info I found to find a grave in case it could help someone else and give them the same start it gave me.
I can transfer any memorials or make any corrections.
It amazes me how rude people can be on this site, and you would not believe how many "nasty grams" I have received for uploading "incomplete information". Please know that I just uploaded the information that was available. The best way to get the dates is to add a photo request for the memorial.

You are very welcome. Glad to be able to do that for you. We also posted photos of Winsome Haywood Dunn, and Kathleen Dunn Hellyer - both of which were beside Hunter Dunn.

Hello! Thank you for all of the hard work you've put in on the Oak Hill Cemetery.
If they are not also related to you, I wonder if you would consider transfering the following ancestors of mine to me?
Julia Adalaide Bayless #74200248
Robert Rees Bayless #74200247
Sarah J Bayless #74200684
Laurie Saunders (#48438172)

Thank you for your work on Oak Hill Cemetery. I'm sorry to read that people have been rude to you about what you've done. That said, Oak Hill Cemetery is quite historic for Johnson City, so its important that it be properly researched and documented for other researchers.
You will be receiving many update requests from me for your memorials over the next week. I was recently in Johnson City and made a point to take photos of most of the pre-1910 burials that I found. I will also be adding some original obituaries where possible.
If you lack the time to check and accept these edits, you are welcome to transfer these memorials to me. I have also notified several administrators of the duplicate memorials they have created for some of the memorials you originally created. If you need any help, just let me know.
Thank You so much for the transfers. Nancy

Thank you for the transfer of Burnett Johnson Kelley's memorial and for updating her birth and death dates. Thank you also for giving so much of your time to this project by adding so many records. I'm currently trying to locate a photograph of Burnett to add to her memorial. Thanks for everything.

Amber...please know that the majority of the "gravers" on Find A Grave are the BEST!!! So sorry you've bumped into some rude ones. Personally, I thank you for your work.

Amber-Thank you so much for your contributions to Find a Grave in the Oak Hill Cemetery. I am sorry you have gotten negative emails. I truly appreciate the help you have given me to make my ancestors more real to me. I love having the photos
Are you in any way related to this Hancock family? I was surprised that only 3 Hancocks are listed as being buried there. I have info that a Victor Herman Hancock was also buried at Oak Hill, but he is not listed there by Find a Grave.
Many thanks for your valuable contributions
