Bio and Links
Bio Photo WOW..What A great Website. It is so user-friendly and the people listed are so helpful & informative.
I have been researching the following family names for years. I would appreciate any information that anyone may have on these families.
Thigpen's from Jasper County. Wells, Hood & Childress families from Choctaw County. Jackson, DeHay & Quinn Families.

The Jackson & DeHay families migrated from St. James Goose Creek, Berkley Co., South Carolina to Winston & Neshoba County.

The Quinn Family migrated from Bibb County Ga., to Winston & Neshoba County. My Great Great Gtandmother was Carolina Watkins from Peede, North Carolina.

I found him. There is no name on his upright stone other than THIGPEN, and his footstone was partially covered. Will post what I have. Was wondering if his wife is dead. Willene B. Thigpen's footstone is next to him, but has no dod on it. DOB is July 8, 1926. Says married Apr. 18, 1947. I do not usually post undated stones unless they are really old, or someone states there dod. Thanks, Nancy

I am trying to find this tombstone. I am sure he is here. This is a very large cemetery. By chance do you know if his stone is flat or what part he might be in. When entering from hwy 431, the road can turn to the left(in front of the mausoleum) or right(goes back to the maintenance building). Both turns circle to the back of the cemetery. The main road bends to the left going toward the mausoleum and then turns sharply to the right up the middle of the cemetery, which leads to the back entrance. To the right of this main road, is what I call the center of the cemetery with each road named. When you get to the top of the hill on the far right there is actually another section of the cemetery going toward the maintenance building. (So there is a left, center, and right section divided with roads.)
If you do not know, that is quiet all right. I just can't seem to catch the cemetery workers that usually help me. Thought if you knew that would be a great help. The cemetery is open everyday 8-7 in the summer, but the workers only work Mon-Fri unless on call. Will keep searching. Thanks, Nancy
