William Henry Harrison Adkins
Could we use your picture of his funeral for our Memorial Day float if we need it? I don't know how many we will use. Do you have a picture of him in his uniform? Looking ahead.

Rebecca Ball
I was wondering if you've ever found any death record of Rebecca Ball. It is my assumption that she died between 1900 and 1910 due to census records. She is my great great grandmother. Hugh was my great grandfather.

Miller Cemetery
Just wanted to respond to an older post about Shockley burials in Miller Cemetery.
The only Shockley there is my great grandmother, Sophia Shockley Davis. She was the daughter of Ernest and Minnie Shockley. She was buried there in 1990.

RE: Lavina Turley
You are welcome. The majority of the markers are in very bad shape. There were about 13 that we couldn't read at all. I took photos and thought perhaps the inscription would show up better on the computer screen, but they didn't. My husband's grandmother was a Merritt. I'm sure you know that this cemetery was moved from one side of the jail grounds to the other. You can't enter without calling the jail supervisor.

W. T. Ball's middle name
Curious as to how anyone arrived at middle name of "Tunnell or Tunnel" as there are numerous records online giving the middle name of "Tunnell" for any Virginia or W.Va. surnamed Ball who has a middle initial of "T", when in fact there are few records which give a middle name, it is usually only a middle initial! Note that the tombstone for W. T. Ball says exactly that, and the obituary accompanying one Find A Grave data entry says only William Ball. /s/Gladys Boice Tolbert{Find A Grave member as Gladys Boice"

Photo requests
Hi Roberta,
I've been pretty busy this summer and have found it necessary to catch up with my Find A Grave memorial requests and updates sporadically as time permits. Please forgive my tardiness in fulfilling your requests. :-)
