Hello Edith, Thank you very much for adding Paul's headstone photo on Aug. 2 at Clarion Cemetery. It's taken me this long to thank you because my computer crashed. Just got it up and running today. I love FindAGrave and all the wonderful volunteers, like you, that make it all work! ~Blessings, Bev in Calif.

Thanks for this photo. I don't know why the request was still active when it looks like there was already a photo there. In any case, thanks for the extra effort.

If I have this right, then you and I are second cousins. Your father, Ralph Claypool, was a first cousin to my mother, Betty Shankle Marshall of West Kittanning PA. She is still living at 88. I have a copy of your great-grandfather's will (Frederick Bowser's) in which he makes arrangements for the care of his grandson Ralph Claypool. My mother has wonderful tales of her Aunt Sally Bowser Shoop--your grandmother. She and my grandmother Maude Bowser Shankle were sisters.
Where are you located? I am in Boardman, Ohio--near Youngstown--and get back to Kittanning every couple weeks to keep an eye on Mom. If you are anyplace close, I know she would love to meet you, as would I. I've been working on the Frederick Bowser and Margaret McNabb genealogy for a few years. I found a photo of the whole family together last summer. Margaret (Sally's mother) died of consumption at a young age, leaving three children for Frederick to raise. If you would like a copy of that photo, I'll have one made for you. I also have Civil War military records for your great grandfather, John Babb McNabb. He is buried at West Glade Run Presbyterian Cemetery, along with multiple McNabb couins of our.
I do hope we can meet in person one day. I am an Episcopal pastor and very interested in my family's stories.
