Absalom Meredith
Since you set up a Memorial for Absalom Meredith I wanted to share this photo with you. If you look at my photo icon/avatar I have put a burial stone picture there with two men. If you click on it it will get larger. This is just a guess, but since Absalom's son John Andy Meredith is standing in front of it with his hat off and I can see the letters possibly RED in the middle I was wondering if it is Absalom's stone everyone has been looking for. I shared it on an ancestry group I am on and someone thinks it is Pennsboro Presbyterian Cemetery. Absalom's second wife Emma buried their son Oscar there, then Emma buried her second husband there and Emma is there. Emma might have placed him there first, then the other relatives. If you are ever in that area of WV, could you check for that stone, if it is still upright. Thanks for setting up Absalom's Memorial. I had some of his kids and wives linked up to it and added his kids photos.I can't find a photo of Absalom anywhere! His son Elmer (from his second wife) is my G Grandpa.

That would be very nice of you. I would appreciate that. Edelene gave me this wonderful book she wrote on the family tracing them way back and it would be great if I could add things. Maybe I can get the person that did her husband's memorial to transfer him to me, too. Nothing ventured....

Thanks, Jim, I put one up there. I'm going to have a bunch of bio information on her in the next few days. Would you like me to send it to you?

Easy to do. Those type of stones don't photo well at all.
