I've been doing genealogy since 1992 when I actually went to Kentucky to check on the old Young farm in Guston and also to Wytheville, Virginia, to check on my Umberger ancestors. My ancestor, Greenberry F Young settled in Brandenburg after marrying Ann Simmons there in 1832. In 1850, he was in Lawrence County Indiana after going broke. His oldest son, William Davis Young re-appears in Meade County to marry Sally Ashcraft in 1862.
I am also working on the relatives of my maternal grandfather, Victor Glenn Umberger, and his father, Franklin T Umberger, of Wythe Co, VA.
I am truly grateful for how much easier the Internet has made genealogy activity; especially the databases at Ancestry, FamilySearch and FindaGrave. | |

 | Oak Hill in St. Louis Hi Dave, I transferred your relative to you instead of making the change. I am always happy to let relatives take control of the mgmt of records. 20,000 records is a lot for me to manage! I am trying to figure out that image you sent me. Might take a little more investigation, but I don't give up easily! Please let me know if you need any grave help in my area! JanisAdded by Embalmu2 on Jun 05, 2013 5:46 PM | | | Embalmu2

 | RE: Hugh Cox and son at Papinsville You are very welcome. | | | MK Cox
 | RE: Cox's at Union Star Cemetery I noticed that you wanted the picture of James and his wife, Mary, who are also buried at this site. I'm pretty sure that this is Richard's father and mother, who would be my great-great-great grandfather and grandmother, and who would also then be your g-g-g-grandparents. So, we are very distantly related.
I also saw on here the newly dedicated gravesite for Isaac Cox by the COX-DAR group. He is the father of James that I mentioned above. They have quite a bit of information about him and the burial site when you click on the picture. They didn't leave contact information in their profile, and they have turned off messaging.
