Thank you for creating her monument. Out of curiosity, where did you find her birth and death dates and locations? I have been missing those and would love to add them to my tree!

RE: St Mary Cem. Montgomery Entry
Thank you so much. Sorry I was such a nudge. Have been working on St. Mary's about 5-6 months. It has been a labor of love for my family and many others. I think I need to take a little break.

RE: St Mary Cem. Montgomery Entry
You are correct.I realize I entered all but one Noonan grave at St Mary's. My confusion was that both father and son were named Maurice, and I knew the older Maurice had never come to New York. I apologize for the confusion. May I ask if the obituary stated that the son Maurice was interred at St. Mary's,Montgomery. We found no grave marker for him.

RE: St Mary Cem. Montgomery Entry
Hello Ed,
Thank you for the information. I understand this may be the son of Maurice Noonan. However,he should not be linked on the FIND A GRAVE site as the husband of Bridget Elizabeth O'Brien Noonan Born 1847 (? his mother ?) Does the obituary specifically state burial at St. Mary's Montgomery. My e-mail address is the one you used if you would be so kind as to send it to meThank you for your quick response.

St Mary Cem. Montgomery Entry
I noted you entered a grave for Maurice Noonan (Memorial # 139412596) in St Mary's Cemetery Montgomery, spouse of Elizabeth (Bridget) O'Brien Noonan. From my knowledge of my family history (my relative, the late Elizabeth Noonan Costello was their daughter) ,Maurice did not come to N.Y. from Wisconsin with his family. We did a complete walk through of St. Mary's over the past few months, and although the grave for Elizabeth is there, we never found one for Maurice. I could not find an obituary to substantiate his burial at St Mary's or his death in the local area. If I am incorrect, please let me know, but there are several Noonan family trees that seem to bear this out. You may want to consider deleting this entry. Thank you for your help

RE: Goshen Scofields
And yes - I saw Jonathan Scofield in the Walden Census and wondered about a possible relationship. He and Henry were probably some sort of cousin, but with so many Scofields around, they many not have even known each other.

RE: Goshen Scofields
Hi - My husband lived off-base in Germany when he was in the Army there. He loved it and became fluent in the language.

I know I descend from Goshen's Henry Scofield - G3GF. The 1850 Census gives his birth place as CT and approx DOB as 1790. There were other Scofields near his age in the Goshen area, too: James and Silvanus (that I know of). He was married in the Warwick DRC within a month of a woman named "Hily Scofield", 1817. The few people who have him in online pedigrees attribute this Barbour Records Collection entry as his birth record: "Henry, s. Henry & Mary [Reed], b. May 6, 1790." , but so far, I don't know if that's him or not. I'll probably have to go to Stamford one of these days to see.

Your probable cousin, J

Goshen Scofields
Hello, Mr Scofield -

I'm beginning to concentrate on this family line, apparently that of Henry Scofield (born say, 1790) and his wife, Julia. Henry is from CT per 1850 Census, Julia's from NY. They apparently were the parents of Christina/Christiana Scofield, my G2GM, captured in the 1850 Census (in 2 places, I think) living in the Town of Goshen along with a batch of others who MAY be siblings: John Henry, A. E. (perhaps wife of John?), James (W?), J. W. S. (James or another male?), July (Julia?), Julia, Francis, Thomas.

Names in Christine's 1878 will, other than her children, are Asaph Green (designated as the guardian of her minor children - brother-in-law?), Julia Green (her sister Julia?), Ann Eliza Scofield (probably "A.E."?), James Scofield, and John H Scofield's heirs (per F.A.G., he died in 1866 #44012639 if this is the correct JHS).

Do these people sound familiar to you?

Thank you for your time! J
