RE: PHOTO REQUEST Hiram Louks b. 1827, d. 1903 Added by JWR Mar 24, 2014 Mineville Cemetery
Hi- I've searched the cemetery pretty carefully, and cannot find a stone for Hiram or his wife. Due to acid rain & time, many stones in the Mineville cemetery are missing, crumbled, or entirely illegible. A transcriotion of this cemetery done in 2004 does not mention the Loukses either. The Town of Moriah has recently begun re-setting fallen gravestones & other repair work, so I will try to check as work progresses.

I have added a marker picture to her memorial #95893790. This is on the end of her parents marker. It shows a birth date of 1863 rather than 1853. If it were 1853 her father would have been 16 and her mother 12. I also looked up her death certificate:
Michigan Death certificates 1897 - 1920 @ seekingmichigan.org: Certificate Reg. 10, Walker, Margaret Emily, b. 6/9/1863 Michigan, d. 5/25/1914 Fremont, Newaygo Co., Mich., Age 50y 11m 16d, Single, Cause of Death Paralysis, Father Solomon Walker, b. N. Y., Mother Nannie Dean b. England, Informant Mrs. Mary Lossing, Norwich, Ont., Burial Jewell
