Re: Thomas H. Owens
Hello,
It was suggested to me to contact you about further information on Thomas H. Owens. He is my great grandfather and I would be interested in learning more about him. Might you be able to help me with the info you have? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.
Cheryl

Hi Amy,
Thank you for your posting for IH Brookins! I am hoping you might have a larger picture of his headstone in your records. I'm having a hard time printing the picture that's posted to where I can read the text. He's a 3GF to me.

Regards,

Reuben Newton, Madrid City Cemetery
Amy,

I searched for the grave of Reuben Newton. I may have located the grave but there are no markings on the grave cap to confirm it. There are two unmarked graves next to three tombstones for:

M.A.E. Newton Daughter of R.B & S.J. Newton 1875- 1898

Dora Bell Daughter of R.B & S.J. Newton 1885?-??

Anna F. Newton 1884-1928

These marked/unmarked graves are not contained in a designated plot; but they are side by side in close proximity. I can forward pictures if you would like to have them.

Henry & Gemima Richards
Hi Amy, I found the death certificate of Green Richards (Henry & Gemima's son); however, it did not list his parents' names. Still searching for verification of Gemima's maiden name.

While looking for Sarah Burch (Wife of Wilson Burch)
found your posting at Findagrave. Your bio says wife of "William" Burch but stone says Wilson. Is "William" correct?

RE: Gemima Richards (shown as Gemima Moore Richards
Hi Amy

I got your message about Jemima (or Gemima) Richards. Upon further checking, it was Green who was my husband's great-grandfather. Henry and Jemima were his 2nd great-grandparents. There is a record of Green's death in the Alabama index. I will try to get a copy of his DC to see if his mother's name is shown on it. It may take awhile, but I will let you know.

Gemima Richards (shown as Gemima Moore Richards
I noticed that you created memorials for Gemima Moore Richards and Henry Richards, buried in Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery in Dothan, AL. They were my husband's great-grandparents through their son, Green Leonard Richards.

Are you related to them? We did not know the maiden name of Gemima. How do you know it was Moore? If it is Moore, do you know the names of her parents or any information on her dates of birth and death?

Any information you can give us will be greatly appreciated.
