Bio Photo I love genealogy and have traced my French Canadian ancestors back to the 1600's. I have many relatives that are buried in RI and Massachusetts cemeteries.

RE: Flavie Therrien photo
Probably just no stone. I have several relatives including my grandmother who were buried in St Denis and have no stone. I am in touch with the church rectory on a regular basis and the records are not really very detailed. They pretty much say the same thing you get from a death record. It might say single grave but that is no help if there is no location. Also the rectory burned down in the late 60's early 70's and the records for early 1900's to 1929 have been destroyed. It has been really frustrating for me because I have been locating and purchasing headstones for many of these old relatives that couldn't afford such a luxury. Send me your 3rd great granny's name and dates and I'll see what I can find out for you.

Hi Carol, Just wanted to thank you for the headstone photo for Flavie Therrien in St Denis, Douglas MA. Just curious is she a relative of yours? I have not been able to trace her back and thought she was in our Therrien line. Could use some background on her.

RE: Ferdinand Bienvenue
I would appreciate that very much. I am not on Ancestry right now because I can't afford the payments but I hope to get back on this winter. I hear a lot of my mothers family is buried there but have not been able to get there. Thanks, Carol

Again, I appreciate your help, Carol...but don't knock yourself out over this one. Just being honest with you...its not a big priority with us. Just trying to track down some of the old family lines. But thanks again!!!

Hi, Carol!
Unfortunately, I have no idea. We're stumbling across tidbits of information on this bunch and trying to piece it together. Its kind of one of those "lost" family lines. I'll see if I can find the address for an office or something for the cemetery. There should be burial information recorded somewhere!

Thanks for your interest!! I'll see what I can come up with!!

RE: Mary Derosier grave
This section of the cemetery is very much hit or miss with markers. Some very old markers are in rough shape and it is possible that there may have been one there at some point. There are many unmarked graves in the sections in the rear of the cemetery. Good luck!
