If you have questions about the biographical information I have posted to the memorials I have created, please do not leave a public message. Please email me directly and I will reply in kind. Thank you.|
I was born in the Saskatchewan prairies where my grandfather homesteaded in 1906. I live in the USA. I got serious about my research when presented with a box of very old photos and memorbilia from both sides of my family, many unlabeled. While restoring digital versions of the material, I became very connected with my ancestors. I feel humbled by the hardships they endured as pioneers. I have met many other amateur genealogists online, and on occasion someone performs an act of kindness for me. I have posted photos and research to memorials in hope that I can repay the kindness extended to me.

|Valerie Gibson||your source for parents of Christina "Ann" Kennedy?|
I am writing to you because of your entry at FindAGrave.com below. I have been searching fruitlessly for a source for the parents of Ann Kennedy and Murdoch Murchison You name the parents of Ann Kennedy below. Can you share your source with me? I also have the information that the parents of Murdock Murchison were John Murchison and Christy McLennan, but the person I got that information from unfortunately forgot to record her source. She and I would both like to find a source for both these sets of parents. Can you help?
My husband is a descendant of Mary Jane Murchison and Cornelius O'Reilly.
Mary Jane was the daughter of Murdock "Frank" Murchison and Christina "Ann" Kennedy (the latter was the daughter of John Kennedy and Mary McLean Kennedy)
Cornelius O'Reilly (1860 - 1927)

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I am well aware of names changing due to transcription. I only pointed out the stone and your name on the memorial were not the same.
My grandmother's last name was Astafuroff when she arrived in Canada in 1911. She then married (maybe) John Negraiff. In Russia the names would have been Astafurov and Negrav On the Doukhobor Genealogy site you will see the changes. The Government archives was where the name changed. The name on the ship records of 1911 was Astafuroff. :) Some of my family were Osterforoff, Osteroff, Ostoforoff, Ostare and Astafuroff. All half siblings of my father. :) Take care, Sharon

Just noticed you have his name spelled differently than the marker has. :)

Thank you for the grave stone. Now just need to figure out if this is Iwan Astafuroff, which is the original name. My grandmother was married to a man of the same names.

my name is Bożena Choińska nee Czaczkowska.
I am daughter of Franiczek Czaczkowski who is a son of Walter Czaczkowski.
I am searching the information about my grandfather, Walter Czaczkowski who
moved to Kamsack and died there.
I found the information on which cementary in Kamsack he is burried.
Is there any opportunity to get some information about Walter
Czaczkowski such the birthdate, birthplace and parents' name?
I am interested in every information about his life.
Are there maybe his friends who know some facts about him?
If nobody is able to get these information, could someone send me adresses of
proper departmens where I can write to about my grandfather?
If there is no problem, could someone take the photo of tombstone of Walter
Thank you for help.
From what I know, Walter Czaczkowski kept in contact with Swerhun family,
Victoria Swerhun and Nick Swerhun. They have son, Ernest and a daugther.

There, he is added to your management as requested. I have family in that cemetery, and have done research and photos of stones for other people. His stone was probably near my inlaws graves, when I took the information from the stone.
