Below is the only info I have on him. He was a member of the Grand Army of the Republic Farragut Post 27 in Evansville, Indiana.
Henry R. Sandes,
Entry into U.S. Service: May 4, 1861, Capt. 2nd Wisconsin
Discharge: September 3. 1863, 1st Lieut. 3rd Wisconsin, disability
GAR member, mustered into post June 24, 1881, transferred November 10, 1881.

Oh, no, that's quite all right! It is nice to see credit given, but for me, it is not really necessary. I just don't want you to get on the bad side of some others on this site. Believe me, I have read some rather nasty comments.
