|Renee Ellis||RE: FREAS CONNECTION|
I believe that Martha Hanthorn # 8028723, a daughter of Thomas & Anna Carr Hanthorn, married Jessie B. Freas # 8028722, sometime between 1870-1876 when he died. Their headstones are very similar, which suggests that they were related. They are BOTH listed in Abingdon Cemetery, Knox Co., Illinois. The birthdate for Martha Freas agrees with the birthdate of Martha Hanthorn. Let me know what you think/find.......Renee

P.S. :-) I have submitted an edit to link George W. Hanthorn Find A Grave # 11940502 to his parents, add his birth and death data & his middle name of Washington, but no response yet.
|Renee Ellis||Thomas Hanthorn|
Please include the Find A Grave # if you have a question about someone's memorial. It just makes it much easier to figure out who is in question. One of my relatives (Martha Westerfield) married one of Thomas' sons (George W. Hanthorn), so I have been researching him. On the 1880 Federal Census for George it says that both his parents were from Ireland. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Robin, thank you for the edits to their memorials, which I've accepted. Would you like for me to transfer them to you? I have no family connection to either of them. Regards, Charlie

Happy to do so! I literally stumbled over it on the way out. Sadly, it is in 3 pieces, lying in the brush, with lettering very worn. Finding and photographing it now was very lucky.
