I have been interested in 'family' as long as I can remember but failed to understand the significance of obtaining facts while I had the chance. Most all of my aunts and uncles and all of my grandparents have passed but I have accumulated a wealth of information since beginning my search on Ancestry many years ago. I had originally documented years of information onto Ancestry.com before they made all of the changes. Sadly I lost that account and now have difficulty linking people back together on their site. Still working on it and one day will hopefully have something that resembles the truth. I have noticed on F.A.G. within my own family groups listed here are glaring inaccuries that I wish I could fix. Will take awhile but I will try. Below I will put a short list of surnames that I am interested and descended from. I will begin with my own birth name and then my Mother's maiden name and so forth. Thanks,Diann L. |twider me||? Goheen Connection|
I am taking the long way around but you can see why I might be interested. I am related to the Dittemore family through my grandmother Daisy, daughter of William Perry Dittemore>George Washington Dittemore>Adam Dittemore and his wife Mary Berger. I noticed your memorial to Sarah Carson had mentioned Matilda Goheen. My husband is related to Richard Goheen, 1723, Bristol, Bucks, PA through his wife Catherine Bessonett, daughter of John(Jean) Claude Bessonett and Sarah Dye. Goheen is an unusual enough name that I wondered if you were related to this line, also. I haven't pursued the Goheen line pass Richard, either direction, but might do so if it falls into the Dittemore line, too. The Bessonett line goes back to the Huguenot in France and the Vicompte Claude de Bessonett.

Thank you for trying again. No, I have not bit the dust yet. haha I had to back away for a while and I know now I caused myself a mess to deal with now. Is there something I can do for you? Nice to hear from you again.
|twider me||Michael John Dittemore|
I debated on putting a message to you, but I can't help what I felt when I opened up this memorial to my 4th g.grandfather. Decrease your image and put it as a note under leave a flower, I would understand and wouldn't mind it at all. You look like a lovely young lady, and your memo under your picture was sweet, but you are NOT Michael John Dittemore. The picture area is part of the memorial, something from the time he lived, a memento, etc., to help us understand HIM a little more, not of you. Just asking you to please re-think putting your image in HIS place, because that is what you have done. Dollie even said it in her profile that "The memorials are for the D.E.A.D. and not for ourselves. They are to honor them...."

Yes, but it may have been a couple of years since I last heard from her. Becky

Send me a list of photos (and Find A Grave #'s) that you want placed on Ancestry.com.

I am a direct descendent of Oney and William Blythe, Jr. and qualified for NSDAR through William. They were my third great grandparents.
You may use the photos for your personal use, but do not upload to Ancestry.com or other internet site. I think that I did put up all of mine, but let me know of any that I missed. Just look for CSD6992. That would be me. Just click on the pics and add to your tree.
BYW, we live nowhere near Missouri, but drove back to track her down. It was certainly worth it.
Your distant cousin,

I just noticed Beckys name here. She is a great gal isn't she. She sent me so much on the Memorial Park cemetery in Emporia, Kansas. I don't know how you know her but you are lucky to call her your friend.

Found your note on Michael M. and wanted to ask you for more information on which ship John Hartman came on. And in return, I have a surprise for you too. Herr Henrick Hertzel and his wife Margretha were his wifes parents. I know because I not only come down the Dittemore line but, Catherine had a brother that I go back to on my fathers side. His line used Hetzel. You are the only person besides me that has this now. lol Also the Michael Nehs connection includes a Zirkle family, they are also on my fathers side. Very small world back then.
