When I sit back and reflect on the significant events and important aspects in my life, one major theme emerges, which is a loving and supportive family, that honors and treasures our heritage, actively preserves our family history and encourages accurate research to put the pieces of the puzzle of our families past.|
I am, Betty L. Schmidt, a sixth generation native Coloradoan. I am the 3rd great-granddaughter of Adam Schwab, the 2nd great-granddaughter of Johann Adam Michael Meyer and Daniel M. Baker. I am the great granddaughter of Bertha and Emil Schmidt.
I am 2nd great-granddaughter of William Eliphalet and Melvira Millicent Holbrook and the great-granddaughter of Mary Melvira and William Edgar Taylor. In addition, I am a direct descendent of William Bradford, Governor of the Plymouth Colony and a passenger on the Mayflower.
I am a retired central office administrator, teacher, genealogist and poet, who lives in two places. My permanent residence is Fountain, Colorado, but winter in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

|Leslie||problem with request for August Koppe|
No Headstone for August but the other Koppe family members (not sure if any relation to August) are Carl Conrad Koppe. and Johanna M Koppe. I was able to get pictures of those headstones. Let me know if you need anything else. Thank you and God Bless

|wendy b||Ferdinand Duenow - Silvercliffe|
You have a request for the above at Silvercliffe Cemetery. Look under Ferdinand Dunow - there is a picture of the headstone with that name and some info on him. I also located him and found the same. Didn't know he was listed under another spelling.

You are very welcome.

Glad I could help, the folks at Magnolia are very helpful.

You're welcome! I'm sure you've already noticed the memorial has Madlena spelled incorrectly as Madalena? My heart sank when I uploaded the photo and noticed the spelling didn't match - I thought I got the wrong person. Further research indicated not. Whew....

I live in Canon City, CO and read your father's obit in our local paper and created a memorial for him. RosalieAnn made a suggestion to transfer him to you and I did. So sorry for the loss of your father he sounded like a great man!!
