I, myself, am looking for our Indian heritage. It seems to me that the calling to walk as an Indian is not something a person can help. IT is an inner way of seeing that calls you to view the Earth as a senscient(sp?) being, see the trees as standing people, see living beings in everything we look at, dream of thunderbeings talking to me, and rivers tell me their story. My journey into geneology is to honor the Ancestors who walked before me.|

He Maureen - I stumbled on your bio while looking for my great-grandmothers (Anna Elizabeth Hunt-Miller) siblings. In this case I was researching John W. Hunt.
I made a memorial my g-grandmother for her as one did not exist.
You may want to check it out - I uploaded a photo that had been handed down through the family. It's a photograph of Anna Elizabeth along with her husband Benjamin F Miller and her mother Mary Jennings Hunt (which is most likely one of your great grandmothers.)

Thanks for sponsoring the John Hunt memorial. I've transferred him to your care.

I tried to contact you by e-mail but the message didn't go through. I am Ida Mae's great-granddaughter through her daughter Pearl Hazel Baker Brooks. My father was Charles Franklin Brooks. I would love to hear from you.

Welcome to Find A Grave, Maureen. Hopefully you'll be as successful as I have been in finding family here.
By the way, it's "sentient." :)
