First and foremost I'm a serious family historian. Like many others involved in Findagrave I maintain memorials strictly for that purpose. I believe that complete correct memorials created by people who care about the people they memorialize will withstand the test of time and scrutiny. Thank you to the many really nice folks who have transferred family members to me so that I may keep them updated and linked as I continue to research them.
My famous bio is for my cousin Francis Rawn Shunk, 8th governor of the state of Pennsylvania 1845-1848, who died of TB within two weeks of resigning his office. I'm also the proud cousin of two Civil War Generals, Jacob Bowman Sweitzer, in charge at the Wheatfield at Gettysburg, and his brother Nelson Bowman "NB" Sweitzer, adjutant to General George McClellan, and later in charge of the troops searching for John Wilkes Booth after he assassinated Abraham Lincoln. My Civil War associations also include two other cousins who were officers in the Union Army, and my Great Granddad Edward's four brothers and one nephew who, like him, were all Union Army soldiers.
My bio photo is of my Great Granddad Edward Lawrence holding the youngest of his three sons, my Granddad George Robbin Lawrence. The photo was taken in 1863 in Philadelphia, Pa right before Edward was drafted into the Union Army. | |

 | hey neighbor... Couldn't help but notice you're working Philadelphia Adairs. I have a few myself, though I have not yet diligently worked them - my great grandpa's sister married in, and most are Roxborough based. Just thought I should say hello and invite you to browse my in-progress Adair clan in case they may be of interest to you.Added by sr/ks on Jan 30, 2013 11:23 PM | | | Donna Elliott
 | Andrew Lake/Leverington Cemetery Jim, I was going thru old emails and came across your request to transfer Andrew's memorial. I have transferred him I am so so it took so long, I don't know how I missed your e mail. | | | Zoe Tom
 | Morganroth Thanks for the update. See the Morgenroth burials I found in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA. There is a tombstone there, but I couldn't read the one on their web site. We need a photographer to get pictures and data for us. Zoe

 | Lawrence Lawrence Jim, thanks for the additional information, I made the corrections/additions. The only issue I have is that this photo was taken in West Laurel Hill not Laurel Hill. I say this with complete certainty so I am reluctant to change the cemetery. It's possible that the Obit you referenced neglected to put a W in front of Laurel Hil. You can verify by calling the cemetery, They are very helpful. | | | Mike O
 | Luther Schmidt Jim, the memorial is your's to maintain. MikeAdded by Mike O on Dec 20, 2012 2:19 PM | | | Jodi (Cohen) Bolden
