Bio and Links
Bio Photo My parents began genealogy research on both the Gibson and Rourke sides of our family. Meanwhile my husband's sister was doing family trees on both the Smith and Tuning sides of their family.

Since all 3 are deceased I've inherited the tasks, which I love, both for the history and the connections.

Frank and I have been married 55 yrs., have 3 adult children, 9 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. We are retired, and live in the apple orchards of S.W. Idaho.

Marion Ellis death location.
Hello, I am the niece of Marion V Larson. He was married to my mother's sister, Lillian Cecilia (Hansen) Ellis. She was four months pregnant at the time he suddenly died. I was five. I was with my mother, Bertha, when Aunt Lillian was brought home from the hospital after his death. She was so overtaken with grief that it took two of her brothers to carry her up the long walk to her apt. At five this had a life-long memory in my life.He died Dec or Jan in 1938/1939. In March Aunt Lillian gave birth to a little baby boy, whom she named Mickey. Their first son was named Bruce, he was borne in 1936. Thought you might want to update the information. About 3 yrs. after his death she met a nice fellow named Herbert Larson who she married; he became a father to the boys that Marion would be pleased with. They had a little girl, moved to Texas. When the little girl was decapitated in an auto accident at 14 yrs old. They moved to Seattle. Mickey went to Washington State became a star in the football team, turned Pro for a couple of years, became a lawyer, and with some partners founded the 7-11 chain. Later sold his share for over a million. Aunt Lillian died in 2003, Mickey died 2011 and Bruce oldest son died in 2019. Sally Carroll

RE: Obit. Earl Vay Plummer
Yes, it would be nice to have more info. Actually, Lori Mae Plummer is my daughter in law. I would love to surprise her and my grandaughters with info in an orderly fashion, espcially, if it isn't something they don't know about--which is likely. As you may know Dona Mae Plummer, Earl's wife is in the nursing home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Thanks so much for contacting me. Ruth Pickle

Infant Roberts
I looked in the Jefferson county death records and found that there was indeed an infant Roberts (no gender specified) born in Blackhawk Township to Charles and Selma Roberts. The death record indicated burial the same day in Friends cemetery, at Richland (Keokuk county, Iowa.

I checked the Friends cemetery listing there but this particular infant is not mentioned, but I suspect that is because there is no headstone for this infant and possibly no cemetery entry because it was stillborn. So, no plot location noted. Perhaps there were relatives of either parent who are also buried in that cemetery and the infant buried, quickly, near them?

I'd be ok with your making a memorial for this infant in the Friends cemetery at Richland and then linking to Charles and Selma. With only the death record to go on, not much documentation. I didn't check to see if there was a brief obit, but can do so if you wish.

RE: Ari, Alice & Sarah Roberts
Hi Myrna, You're welcome. My Aunt Margaret told me about the cemetery when I was in Iowa a few years ago. I had just started on genealogy so we found the Walnut Creek Cemetery and I took photos of all the Roberts I found. There are also Smith connections there, too.
On Nov 11 I sent you information on Anna Benstead, my grandfather Cloyd Smith's sister. I am trying to connect all of my grandparents siblings to their parents on find a grave. If you did not receive it I can send it again. Please let me know.
