|Karen A.||Gregg & Cassatt, Edgar Cemetery|
Thank you for all the remaining photos in this group. I have added some additional info. to a few of the memorials and will include more as I find it. The very old "military stone" appears to be INF on the lower right.
I could not make out any of the other engraving on the stone for H. Francis Gregg. It may say Son of . . .
Interesting that several of the Gregg & Cassatt stones are all the same style -- appear to be much newer than the dates would indicate so I imagine a family member had those placed years later (maybe replacing much older stones).

I have created memorials for the additional names that you sent and have put in photo requests for the following:
A. Cassatt MacMillen.
GREGG (H. Francis, Clara E., Evaline A.)
CASSATT (E. Josephus, Peter P., Eliza Hines, and one with unreadable first name?). Hope I haven't missed any. Your original list of Gregg names also included one with just H.? Again thanks so much for all your help.

I hope that you rec'd my e-mail with info. I found. In addition to a memorial for Harmon Gregg, I created one for the son William Jackson Gregg and his wife Mary Cassatt, and for 3 of their sons, Edgar E., George W., and William P.
Please do add the photos you had taken and I'd like to have whatever additional dates you found for them. The remaining Greggs there are likely tied to the family also. We might as well post memorials for the others you listed. Once I have those dates, can try to see how they fit and get them linked. Thanks!

Thank you so much for your help. I have no idea why Harmon and Delilah are not in same cemetery. They died in same county and about 7 mos. apart.
Harmon was a brother of my William (1797-1870).
I'll have to check the other Gregg names you listed to see if they connect.

Thank you for your help with getting these pictures for me. People like you are greatly appreciated for doing this for those of us who are not able to do this because of age, health or distance. Once again thank you.

Good gravestone photo, thank you for taking the time to walk the walk and process the photo.

I just found the gravestone photo that you posted for Delilah, who died 2/27/1865. Her husband, Harmon Gregg Sr., apparently died 7/7/1864 also in Edgar Co.
It would seem plausible that he may be in the same cemetery. Perhaps stone is missing or unreadable. Do you think their burial records still exist from that long ago? If so, do you know who I should try to contact or where those records may be?
I am researching the line of Harmon's parents, Silas Gregg and Rhoda Armstrong. They had 7 children, only 4 of whom appear on FindaGrave so far. Thanks so much for any clues you may have.
