I'm a retired high school American history teacher, family genealogist, woodworker and interested in a whole lot of other stuff.|
I a member of SAR based on the service of John Hughes,a member of the famous Maryland Four Hundred. I also have researched the Lord family and found an ancestor who went to CA in 1849 searching for gold.
Other family names I have information on are: Andrews, Decker, Hamilton, Hart, Harris, Kettlewell, Keyser, McCann and others.

|Joseph Pahr||Catherine Bonnell 1831-1888|
Catherine Bonnell 1831-1888, wife of Emanuel seems to be buried in two places. Once in the (old stone) that you show at North Prairie and again with a much newer stone at Greenfield Cemetery in La Moille, Bureau, Ill. Is it possible that she was moved to Greenfield in 1917 when Emanuel died? Unlikely he remarried another Catherine with the same dates.
Any Ideas? My daughter is Catherine's 4x great granddaughter.

Thank you Robert for trying to find Izzich. I came up from Georgia and went to North Prairie cemetery last summer and lots of old graves have lost their stones...

Mr. Lord - have you received any of my requests on the Spake family in North Prairie Cemetery. Thank you and hope to hear from you soon. Sheila
I'm sorry but I am unable to help with the restoration of John T's headstone.
Thank you very much for all the info. I really appreciate it!
Correction. As you know, Thornburg's Find-A-Grave was created by someone else. Sorry about that. Here's a link to his... it also shows a headstone (illegible, though), so he must be there.

Thanks again for transferring the Conrow memorials. I appreciate it!
As far as I know, Thornburgh is buried there in North Prairie. I have a 1870 Census that shows him living in La Moille,IL. He died 5 years later, so I am assuming he is in that cemetery; especially since the children are buried there too (I believe they are his & his wife, Sarah's children... the sons & daughter of 'T&S'.) Also, Methodist is the main religion of my family... I initially found a list on illinoisancestors.org that listed his name as being there; plus the Find-A-Grave site you created. So just assumption on my part. =)
Are you fairly certain that John T was 56 when he died or that he died in 1871? The reason I ask is that I have Thornburgh's brother John's birth date as 1837, so that wouldn't fit...? Oh, unless John T was his uncle? He'd fit in there... although I don't have a John listed as such? Not that, that matters. I could have just missed him.
Sorry if all that is a bit confusing. I'm just trying to figure out if I have the right info/family members/graves. Thanks for all your help! I really appreciate it!
Thank you VERY much for transferring the Conrow family memorials to me. I really appreciate it!
I was wondering if you wouldn't mind transferring the following memorials to me. I am a direct family member of the Conrow's and would like to maintain their memorials; add more information. Thank you!

Thanks for adding his parents.

Thank you so much for the photo. I have never been sure of this great-great-something grandmother's spelling of her first name and this confirms it. ~Susan Balman
